stockley
Ok, I'm making a stunt video (release will be soon) and I found great spots for use of the Packer. But, when I drive it there, I get my bike, make my way down the run in, where the packer was. It's now gone. How do I get it to stay? I know that I can't go too far away but even still, it disappears. Another question, how do I use the packer to bring my bike with me? Or another way to bring the bike with me so i don't have to goto a garage or sumthin? Spuds725
Are you playing the PC version?? If so... check out the 3rd mod from the top-- named after a stunting legend http://www.tfads.com/vccode/released.html if you are on PS2, the game doesn't have much of a memory for cars.. usually it will keep 2 in memory.. so if you park the packer, don't get in another vehicle other then your bike or it WILL disappear... on PS2 I did some big spin stunts using a flatbed and a PCJ at the airport... I had to park the flatbed and run all the way back to sunshine autos for my bike... I've never used a trainer but it could probably be used to spawn what you need-- I'm not sure. Justin
Yeah, mods are the best way. A good trick of the trade is to hold a directional key when exiting the vehicle - it'll be more likely to remain in memory this way. Spuds725
Thanks man! Lots of help. I am using the Pc version and Ps2 version so thanks. Never ever knew that. No problem.... thank Demarest for creating that Mod... I do seem to remember that Nitzkit moved on to a different mod for spawning stuff (I'm assuming it was better)-- the search is disabled now... a google search limited to gtaforums.com might provide some info... Ring_of_Fire
If you keep looking behind at the vehicle you don't want to de-spawn while exploring -> then it will not disappear. However, I think a certain distance will make it go away so don't go out too far. The reason for this is because a character's view distance will allow the game to spawn newer vehicles and disappear older ones that are not in range; it's the same concept like the pedestrians, especially when doing gang rampages. You keep looking at them to make them not go away. But if you want to spawn different ones, you look away from that set of people and go to a newer location or come back. Rumor: I don't know if this is even true or have something to do with the game's spawning capabilities, but either lowering/upping the draw distance can help. I think that way will allow the game to spawn more or less stuff in memory at the same time. Glitch: For PC only, this glitch will stop spawning any more cars which is useful for doing races or running away from the police. What you do is to get the flamethrower weapon or a normal gun and shoot at the window. Once you see the person exiting out, immediately press F1. For some reason, the driver will become a "phantom" and if you leave the area, the game will allow that vehicle to remain intact. Now do this to more drivers like about 5+ of them. No more vehicles will spawn in Vice City after doing this, because you have used up the limiting capacity of how many vehicles can be spawned at the same time in an area. So it's possible that your current vehicle will never disappear as they are no more spawning conflicts!
