No. The game tells you not to save after activating cheats. Heed its warning in future.

Also, there was no need to reply to this topic. For your own, distinct problem, post a new topic.

The game warns you of saving with cheats because some ruin your criminal rating (which has no bearing on the game anyways). It just so happens that that one cannot be reverted. Resort to an earlier save.

I'm not sure what the intended topic is about. The only two game-bourne glitches I know of are the Cuban outfit "glitch" and the Unique Jump glitch. Both of which I've made fixes for on my site. I'm not sure what worries are being mentioned in starting a new game. Not to mention that if the program crashes, you won't be able to start a new game until you launch the game again, which would clear any issues you had while running it before.

I am just glitching around with this bug: go into a ghostworld (e.g. Malibu/Pole Position Club/Mall biggrin.gif) and save to see what happens (reload after doing that, and then get back into the real-world). Now do a few *Blue Hell* glitches to fly under Vice City and make your way to the bottom. Sometimes committing suiciding also works; but what most likely works is to exit the game fully, restart computer, and reload your save file. Some cheats can be easily deactivated by doing this, apparently not the pedestrian riot one. Not even typing the same "fightfightfight" cheatcode again deactivates it like in San Andreas which has this kind of feature. But I heard that some Vice City cheats can be deactivated too by typing it again.

Optional methods: (pending) smile.gif

  1. It is not certain that the game saves the peds riot cheat into the save file itself; chances are that it is only in your game. Submit to save 'n' play and see what happens. If that's not the case when you input cheatcodes, then I suppose looking at your [.b] save file using Notepad to sight down any differences from the one that is not "cheated", may probably help. Editing [.b] files, and copying/pasting programming codes over to another just might be the last thing to do if you are not skillful. lol

  2. There are some cheatcodes ("nobodylikesme"?) that can conflict with each other if you type them in when one is already activated. It may cause the other one to deactivate automatically if you keep overdoing it.

  3. Try to get a Level 6 wanted level so that the tanks show up, it may cause the peds to start being friendly or run away and cause their behavior to change. Save after doing this.

  4. For a pedestrian challenge: do the distribution, ambulance, taxi, vigilante, and pizza boy missions. The game's AI may refresh the pedestrian's behavior. Remember to save and reload.

  5. Go on a mass-killing frenzy and be lucky that the game may spawn newer, well-behaved pedestrians!

  6. Load your old save file or start a new game, do a mission, and then immediately load up the "peds riot" one. (Chances are that the game may transfer a cure over to the already messed-up one.) After doing this, try killing yourself to do something similar to the "taxi glitch trick". Go and hunt down for pedestrians to see how they behave.

  7. Uninstall/Reinstall the game, delete [.set] file, and try again. Submit your save to Save 'n' Play. It looks as if either your "cheated" save file is damaged (needs editing) or the game itself.

  8. Download mods/trainers like LithJoe etc., and find a way to debug your save file.

  9. Keep progressing through the game and play Vice City for hours. The pedestrian riot bug may eventually go away.

  10. Type in the "fannymagnet" code, which can be disabled easily. Also, keep flying all about the place and driving to see if the game spawns proper pedestrians. For a wrap up of this craziness, try completing the final missions (or any incompleted missions) and saving if there's any available. If not, then you are simply stuck with the Pedestrian Riot mission; a sequel to The Riot mission from Rosenberg The Lawyer (L).
I could only imagine this happening on the console versions. No mods, and no game save file editing to help you apart from starting over, erasing your memory card, or using a previous save.

p.s i want this cheat gone cause i keep geting wasted by getting in the way of fights

But I thought you said that you were the best at Grand Theft Auto: Vice City? Shouldn't you go pick up additional armor or health, and fly a helicopter in the air so to not get killed? There's also a very fast PCJ-600 motorcycle, and an Infernus to get away from them. tounge.gif Yeah, it's pretty much irreversible... jeez, I wonder if Demarest could release a patch/mod that fixes this?
