I dont understand why anyone should judge someone on if they are gay or not..at the end of the day we all live our own lives, no one has the right to take someones rights away...so why do people insist on talking about this over and over again? it doesnt matter if someone is against it because of moral or religious reasions because that still wont change the fact that people are gay,and that whole bullsh*t of "its not natural" of course its natural!! otherwise it wouldnt be happening. Only cause there are gay people around doesnt mean they are gonna force you to join them lol i would much rather be in a room full of gay and lesbians than in a room full of pedo's or rapist's....cause the pedo's and rapist's are what people should really be concerned about...sexual preditors....

My uncle is gay and I'm not ashamed of it but I do feel kind of embarrassed when I walk with him and his boyfriend in public. I think its gross but as long as I dont see two dudes making out in public or when I'm walking down the street then It doesn't bother me. As long as I don't have to be there I don't mind gay marriage either. Everyone should have the freedom to love who they want to love I guess and marry who they want to marry.

Right or wrong only comes into after you ask this question

Does a gay man choose to be gay, or is he born gay?

If he cannot help being gay then he cannot be wrong for being it, much like lion does not choose to eat meat.

If you believe that it is a free choice then you can argue that it is wrong and what not.

I believe that gay rights groups generally argue that people are born gay and obviously the anti-gay rights see it the other way.

My view is that although I don't think anyone is born gay. I do believe that environmental factors that are out of the control of that person may make someone gay and therefore it would not be right to judge someone right or wrong.

Much like it would be wrong to condemn a truly mad man for being mad or a man with cancer for having cancer.

But having said that this arguement gets really complicated and has been used in law to set precedents. A lawyer must prove that it was a concious decision that someone makes before they can aportion them to be wrong or right (guilty or not guilty). T

For example a man who is gay and contracts HIV has contracted the disease based on making a lifestyle choice and there were alternatives. He could have prevented this. But does that mean he should go to jail if he infects someone else knowing he lived a risky a lifestyle but decided to not heed this even if he did not know he had a life threatening disease.

It's complicated to be honest and neither side will ever stop arguing their sided

um... I remember reading this on a news website once, but I can't find a link, so I'm afraid I have no source, and there for, no credibility.

Apparently, homosexuals have their hormones balanced differently. Where men are usually born with mostly male hormones, some are born with more female hormones, and so they become attracted to other men, and the same with women. So, there is supposedly a pill that can shift the balance back, and there for it could theoretically lessen or stop homosexual urges.

If this is indeed true, and these pills come out on the market, can you imagine how many old fashioned parents would tell their son/daughter that its just a vitamin, and get them to take it? I think this is pretty wrong, and I would never put any of my children on it when I have a family. If they're gay, so be it, and I'll love them the same.

Once again, I heard this on the net, so please treat it as speculation. And for the record, me and my fiance are both Bi and have no issues with homosexuals.

There's nothing wrong with being a 'homo' or bisexual.

I find nothing sinful about this whole homosexuality thing. I now understand that homosexuality is GENETIC, and not a choice. {Although this wasn't the case a year ago, I was getting out of the super-religious phase, but was still somewhat conservative}

For those of you who are Christians, let me ask you this.

Would Jesus approve of condemning homosexuality, when God created people like that?

I don't think so{although the church WILL deny this}.

{I'm heterosexual, BTW}

@EasyAs: I like your thinking. I wouldn't put MY homosexual kid on anything, either.

Homosexuality is not genetic. Though many people claim that it is congenital; that they are born with it. There is no gene found to determine sexual orientation. This is what gives the argument that, "You're born gay," less credence to many.

Personally, I feel that most people are born with a predisposition to be attracted to the opposite gender, as that is somewhat instinctual to human beings, and in most of nature. However, humans also have a tendency to do things to received pleasure, instant gratification, etc. Many people have sex every day with a condom, or with some type of contraceptive, with reproduction being the furthest thing from their mind. What I am saying, is that you are not necessarily "homosexual" by birth, but rather, you are inclined to seek forms of pleasure from new and exciting ways, whether this is from "homosexuality", for from different types of having sex.

To me, clinging to one sexual orientation--whether it be heterosexual or homosexual--is more likely to be a conscious decision or an effect of the types of roles society imposed on a person as they matured, not a congenital attribute.

To say that a homosexual is wrong for not reproducing, is to say that you are wrong for masturbating, or that someone is wrong for using a condom of a contraceptive while engaging in sex. In fact, many people who would be labeled or consider themselves a homosexual, have had children or are going to have children--whether this be in a past relationship before they decided/realized they were gay, or whether it be with a surrogate mother. The point is that sex has become an activity many enjoy for pleasure alone, and when you think about it, the talk of reproduction has no place in relation to homosexuality. It is not homoreproductivity (eat that Webster) it's homosexuality.

So at the end of it, it simply comes back to judging a person or an activity as wrong, even though it does not truly directly hurt anyone. In contrast, the pressure many feel to lead a heterosexual lifestyle often find themselves greatly burdened with confusion, and difficulty coping to society's rigid standards as well as others. I

n truth, I find a reluctance to engage in sexual activities with the same sex is more often not because a lack of sexual attraction, but because of social stigmas or preconceive notions one may have about it. Being sexually attracted to someone and having sex with them, is not always the same thing; think about all the times you may have taken home a particularly unsavory young lady, simply because you wanted to experience the pleasure of sex as an activity. I think that sexual attraction is indeed a preference, but not one that we're born with, one that is acquired as would be any other sexual preference. The only difference is that the thought of same-sex relations in today's modern society, that it brings with it so many stigmas and connotations, that it transcends sexual relations, and becomes Homosexuality!, which most people, since an early age, where told was just wrong, wrong, wrong.

Homosexuality is not wrong, because it really does not exist. It is a taboo, a social stigma, or a conditional result. Centuries ago, sex itself, heterosexual or not, was thought to be just as atrocious as homosexual sex is today. Yet now, sex is publicly marketed day in and day out, and really an everyday part of life for everyone; and as our society is evolving, so this "homosexuality" is as well.
