Carnage_C Posted April 2, 2007 Share Posted April 2, 2007 I've just been playing about with MED (map editor for SA), I've gone to LS docks which is the LAs2.ipl and selected the bridge: @IPL = LAs2.ipl @Identifier = 5333 @DFF File = sanpedbigslt_las2 @X = 2374.38 @Y = -2171.47 @Z = 21.1797 @RX = 180 @RY = 180 @RZ = 315 @LOD File = LODpedbigslt_las2 && @IPL = LAs2.ipl @Identifier = 5147 @DFF File = sanpedbigbrid_las2 @X = 2533.77 @Y = -2330.83 @Z = 22.1953 @RX = 0 @RY = 0 @RZ = 45.0007 @LOD File = LODpedbigbrid_las2 I've copy/pasted this bridge then moved it to just near the beach: ::Bridge Part 1 @IPL = LAs2.ipl @Identifier = 5333 @DFF File = sanpedbigslt_las2 @X = 2946.36 @Y = -1964.27 @Z = 18.7798 @RX = 180 @RY = 180 @RZ = 1.10152e-21 @LOD File = LODpedbigslt_las2 ::Bridge Part 2 @IPL = LAs2.ipl @Identifier = 5147 @DFF File = sanpedbigbrid_las2 @X = 3171.68 @Y = -1964.35 @Z = 19.7953 @RX = 0 @RY = 0 @RZ = 0 @LOD File = LODpedbigbrid_las2 Both interiors are set to 0 (outside world). Now in the map ediotr they look fine and even when I drive to them in the game I can drive up onto the new bridge and it's solid etc but has no texture and I can't see anything but the odd shadow. Now I have saved the ipl, I've basically clicked all the save things I can and then gone to close install and then exit. When I have originally moved the object I have selected the new ipl file, but it was the same so shouldn't matter and done everything as normal (I have another road in south LS that shows fine) but no luck, it just doesn't show. I clicked on the beach next to the bridge (new moved bridge) and it said interior 1024 so I tried changing my new bridges interior to that but still no luck. Can someone help me and maybe tell me why this is happening ? Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/272225-model-textures-not-showing-in-game/ Share on other sites More sharing options...
TRN4L Posted April 2, 2007 Share Posted April 2, 2007 make sure MEd hasnt destroyed any comments in the IPL. also for somthing like this its better to use notepad and manually input the new coordinates. If you still cant get it working, please quite the IPL file here. Carnage_C Posted April 2, 2007 Author Share Posted April 2, 2007 make sure MEd hasnt destroyed any comments in the IPL. also for somthing like this its better to use notepad and manually input the new coordinates. If you still cant get it working, please quite the IPL file here. I checked the IPL and no comments were deleted or anything. So I deleted the lines which the editor had made and put them in manually after resaving and testing to make sure they had gone off the map. I put this in: (without the spaces, the three lines are what I put in) 1266, LODlBd3, 0, 2236.5625, -1988.046875, 26.28125, 0, 0, 0.3826835155, 0.9238795042, -11266, LODlBd3, 0, 2772.21875, -2173.140625, 18.2734375, 0, 0, 0.8433914185, 0.537299633, -15365, LODChemPl2_LAs2, 0, 2496.765625, -2108.367188, 19.5, 0, 0, 0, 1, -15333, sanpedbigslt_las2, 1024, 2946.36, -1964.27, 18.7798, 1.32679489668e-06, 1.32679489668e-06, -0.999999999998, 1.76038469779e-12, 3745147, sanpedbigbrid_las2, 1024, 3171.68, -1964.35, 19.795, 0, 0, 0, 1, 1124823, lasgrifroad, 1024, 3338.47, -2052.4, 34.2094, 1.87637009259e-06, -1.87637258215e-06, 0.707106312091, -0.707107250277, 77endcullend The 1024 I have tried as 0 and still no luck. All the textures do not show and the end rode after the bridge (4823) is none solid. I can drive over the bridge but can't see it but the road I can't do either. TRN4L Posted April 2, 2007 Share Posted April 2, 2007 if its an existing object, maybe the TXD name got mashed, or the txd got corrupted... if its a custom model check the COL and TXD. If you want an object to show up in the "main" world, then set its interior to 0. double check the IDE entry.
