help with install

i just bought gta:sa for pc, but when i try to install it, at first it installs normally, but then a pop-up comes up and says there is a problem with an audio file, the pop-up reads...

"component: audio file: E:\data2.cab Error: data error (cyclic redundancy check)

has anyone had this problem? please help

Did you? Because this error is a classic one that occurs almost exclusively with warezed copies of GTA games... Not saying you're necessarily a liar, but if you have indeed downloaded or otherwise obtained the game illegally, there's no fix aside from purchasing the game.

if you buy it in a store,return it.Maybe your GTA San Andreas DVD installer might not copied properly or maybe the problem is in your DVD-Rom..

 

sometimes the DVD-Rom become slow (X) so it can read all file inside in the DVD.

I have exactly the same problem, and I DO have a completely legal version of GTA. I'm afraid returning it is out of the question, as I've bought it quite some time ago (re-installing it after not playing it for a while; can't remember having this error the first time).

 

Any help ...?
