Master-Of-GTA
I'm getting sick of the amount of topics being created about this, so let's make this the official one. Post all your comments about LCS being ported to PC, or answer some of these questions. Why do you want it? What sort of specs will it require? Will it be better than the PSP or PS2 ports? When will it be released? Personally, I really want it ported to PC, because it'd be a lot more fun and easy than the PSP and PS2 versions, as a keyboard/mouse combo really suits GTA much better than a control pad. Also, I'd expect it to require the amount of specs that Vice City required. And lastly, I think that it'll be released along with GTA4. (P.S: They could even work on including easily-accessable aircraft!) Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/272135-liberty-city-stories-for-pc/ Share on other sites
edscoble
I don't think it should, remember back then we all want a Playstation because of the exclusive games it has? (like Resident Evil, Gran Turismo, Ridge Racer, etc.) and that pretty much what made the PS popular. Now the PSP for instance, is quite popular simply because of GTA, GTA:LCS was so popular, that Sony made Rockstar to release another one (not sure if it Sony or Rockstar that decided to release another one). so having a PC version would kinda take away the exclusivity that the PS once used to have wouldn't it? and God forbid Sony would allowed them to make a PC version! Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't GTA (The very first one) released on PC, THEN ported to PS1?... So that means they took away the PC's exclusitivity and handed it over to the Playstation1/2 Disregard this If i am wrong... edscoble
I never says that the original GTA was played on the PS in the first place, we're talking about the GTA Stories series, which I believe should be a PS-only games to have some exclusivity. beside I don't think the PC gaming market is suffering really to have an exclusive PC-only games. saintdave
While I’m all for the reduction in topics titled LCS for PC, this wont help. Not saying the idea behind it is bad, I would be ecstatic for people to read before posting a new topic but it never happens. The simple fact is this, Liberty City Stories was released back in 2005 and ported in 2006. If Rockstar had any plans to port it to the PC they would have done so now, or revealed information confirming they planned to. With other projects such as GTA 4, Manhunt 2 and LA Noire, I don’t think putting this and future stories-series on PC will benefit Rockstar in their eyes. [CTD]LaBan
I want it just because it is like new GTA3. I want to see what has happened with it and play improved LC. It would be nice, because i don't have so much money to buy a console anyways. Isonis
Why do you want it? - I don't want to buy a psp just for GTA LCS and VCS, What sort of specs will it require - Same as GTA Vice City. Will it be better than the PSP or PS2 ports? Same is fine for me. When will it be released? Hopefully in 2007 Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/272135-liberty-city-stories-for-pc/#findComment-4146744 Share on other sites
MattyDienhoff
I don't think it should, remember back then we all want a Playstation because of the exclusive games it has? Now the PSP for instance, is quite popular simply because of GTA, GTA:LCS was so popular, that Sony made Rockstar to release another one (not sure if it Sony or Rockstar that decided to release another one). so having a PC version would kinda take away the exclusivity that the PS once used to have wouldn't it? and God forbid Sony would allowed them to make a PC version! Good theory, except it can't work... Why? Because the PSP has already lost exclusivity to GTA:LCS and VCS. They are no longer exclusive to the PSP because they've both been released on PS2. Both are Sony systems, true, but isn't it fair to say that the majority of people who might have bought a PSP only to play Liberty City Stories already own PS2s and therefore no longer need a PSP to play the game? I would have thought it would've been in Sony's best interest to keep the 'Stories' games PSP-only games to boost sales for the PSP. But they didn't, they ported them to PS2 therefore eliminating any exclusivity advantages, so why don't they go the rest of the way and port them to PC as well? I say this because I highly doubt that any PC-users who already have the other GTA games on PC will buy PS2s just to play LCS & VCS.
