Unfriendly Competition, please Help

Hi, I'm completely stuck on the Mendez mission "Unfriendly Competition". There are around 20 - 30 heavily armed girls (all firing AK's) & I've tried jumping in the pool, standing behind tree's etc, but I never last more than 3 minutes.

 

I've attempted this at least 15 times now & am getting seriously frustrated with it. Please, can anyone supply some hints on how to complete this part of this mission?

Try to get outside the pool area and lob molotov's.

 

Also...if you see your health and armor going down simply leave the party and go health and armor up.

 

Do this as many times as you like..they will be there when you get back..sadly.

 

It is a b*tch of a mission though...but long distance snipering and medium distance bomb throwing (while popping a few you can actually see if you can) will help you out.

I can leave the area? Are you sure? The gate to the beach was locked, & I didn't see any other exit. Are you sure I can leave & restock my Armour?

I did..just get a running start and jump over the short wall.

Stand at a distance and use the M249 if you have completed the balloons.

Makes this mission very simple.

Back yourself into a corner, making sure you have a stack of ammo for an M4/AK47 before you begin the mission. Do NOT step into the pool or move - just keep hitting L2/R2 and taking out the girls until they stop coming.

 

Yeah, it's a bitch of a mission.

Is it just me or the door of the pool area leading to the beach area is locked? It makes it tough being trapped in the pool area.

Get a sniper riffle and run far away and just snip them until loads of them die

 

return to mission area and finish off other enermys

Guys, there's two of these right up top of the page. Since this is the newer one maybe we should direct advice to the older one, eh?

I'll repost what i posted on the other thread

The first part is fairly easy, you could even use a car to do a drive by. For the next part, it would help if you are Fireproof(after doing Firefighter Level 15) and then, after the cut scene and you are facing the girl, jump down to the drained pool and walk around to the right side of the pool and stay to the right of the deep end, close to the left wall, while facing the girl on the diving platform. Use your Sniper rifle to get her and use Molotovs to get the ones close to you and repeat, then get to the shallower side of the pool and use the AK to shoot them. The health icon is to your right, if you're facing the diving platform. Once you see only 3 or 4 of them, carefully walk closer while you shoot....just shoot and shoot. Switch weapons from AK to SMG/Uzi etc.. back and forth, so you don't have to sit there while reloading. If you pass this part, you'll be chasing after (what's his name?) with a Quad. Just stay close behind and shoot straight ahead at him, but beware, he will drop Granades at you, so, kill him fast!!
