How to Mod a vehicle?

Hello everybody. I was just looking around the Moding section and discovered that you can make your own vehicle then load it into the game. Could someone please tell me how to do this in very simple terms. I want to make this helicopter. It is the MH-53J Pave-Low. I would like to make: the back ramp to be able to go up and down, to be able to seat at least 6 people in the back and have the two machine guns on the side be able to work. Here is a picture.
