Van Loki
No idea why. It makes the little static sound when you change stations, but that's it. Eh??? Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/271263-ok-nevermind-that-radio-stations-wont-play/ Share on other sites
Justin
If you downloaded the game, you won't have the radio files as they're removed from most widely distributed warez copies to improve transfer times. I'd say hard luck, but you should know to buy the game if you expect it to work. I don't know, but most pirated copies available via P2P networks have the radio stations removed (and thus won't play in game) to cut down on transfer times. This is because the stations take up a large chuck of the file size and are deemed not essential to the game by whoever uploaded/seeded the game. Heihachi_73
I will confirm - I originally had the "Myth" version, with their modified MPEG files and missing radio stations, before I bought the real game for a measly 9 dollars at GameTraders! Do yourself a favour - it's better in the long run, and you might also end up with version 1.1 instead which doesn't have the misspelled "turtoise" cheat! I bought the PS2 version ages before getting the hacked PC one; the PS2 still wins for me even though it's the censored Australian version with no hookers or head shots. It was only my second PS2 game at the time, the first being Tekken Tag back in 2002. On the subject of the radio static - ever noticed it's also used in Vice City? I noticed this when playing VC on the PS2 last year - a familiar GTA3 song was in the static before Megadeth started playing in VRock! Lymphoid
maybe he turned music volume all the way down? Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/271263-ok-nevermind-that-radio-stations-wont-play/#findComment-4184502 Share on other sites
Justin
maybe he turned music volume all the way down? Then the "little static sounds" that occur when changing stations wouldn't be heard either, eh?
