Bastard Squad
Hey, Just picked up a copy of GTA3 for the PC for a bargainous price of €5, not too shabby! I remember playing it on the PS2 when it first came out and really enjoyed it so I thought why not? I also have a cheapo game pad which is essentially a PS2-based one, which I thought I'd use based on the "PS2 experience". I was just wondering really, what do other PC users use to control things? I plugged in my gamepad and the controls seem a little unorthodox (I know they're changeable, but I thought I'd try going with the defaults), for instance, instead of turning when you point the cursor/analogue stick right or left, the dude "strafes" or sidesteps, and the buttons don't seem to correspond to anything sensible. But I played True Crime: Streets of LA before this, and the keyboard/mouse combo got a bit confusing after a while, far too many keys to press! What do you guys use, and have you any tips to make things a bit less unwieldy? Thanks, Phil Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/271065-keyboardmouse-vs-gamepad/ Share on other sites
Justin
In Controller Options, switch from Standard to Classic to get that PS2 feel. Personally, I use the Standard setup with a keyboard and mouse. I find it allows for greater control. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/271065-keyboardmouse-vs-gamepad/#findComment-4122511 Share on other sites
