TheDude5000
Hey there. Bought my PSP at midnight on the US launch day, been using the same headphones since that day, and that was 2 years ago. Anyway since last Summer/Fall I've noticed the volume level has really gone down. Before I had to lower the volume so others couldn't hear my music when I was wearing the earphones. Now? Now I can barely hear a thing. Now the PSP's speakers are louder than the earphones, and it used to be the other way around. I can hear vocals and guitars, but not good, and I can't even here bass in songs such as "Hey Man Nice Shot" by Filter, where the bass is quite prevalent and you should be able to hear it. Also last fall, that little extension for the earphones with the remote features like track skipping and pausing, that stopped working too. I tested my PSP with some of my uncle's generic headphones, and the increase in quality was a bit better, so I'm hoping its just my two year old earphones and not the PSP itself. So any other PSP owners with this problem? BTW, these are the most reliable pair of earphones/headphones I have ever owned, it's a shame they are screwing up now. Or are they? Is it the PSP's audio components failing? I hope not. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/270796-psp-value-pack-earphones/ Share on other sites
Rayo Puño
Most likely the earphones are blown, and useless. Try using another pair of decent ones to see if they sound any better. Headphones don't really last that long. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/270796-psp-value-pack-earphones/#findComment-4116399 Share on other sites
spyro_ie
I really thought those headphones were sh*te. They restrict the decibel levels! I know its for safety reasons or whatever but its sort of annoying. Spend a bit of money on a new decent pair, maybe Sennheiser, and you'll realise what you've missing out on. Canoxa
Keep the remote controller if you like it and stick some headphones of your choice. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/270796-psp-value-pack-earphones/#findComment-4117021 Share on other sites
GTA3Freak-2001
Bah don't use the standard ones, they aren't very good even though you'd expect them to be based on Sony's separately sold earphones which from my experience been very good. As was said you can still use the little remote thing with other earphones.
