OGF? GSF? etc.

OK, I think I've seen this topic a long time ago, but I just wanted to get other people's opinions.

 

So you've got Grove Street Families, Seville Boulevard Families, and Temple Drive Families... and then some random Orange Grove Families??? You hear CJ say it sometimes when he talks eg. when rival gangsters ask where ya from "Orange Grove muf*cka" whatever he says, and you see heaps of OGF graffiti around LS.

 

What I always thought was that Orange Grove Families was the whole gang, and GSF, SBF, & TDF were subsets of the greater OGF; much like the Ballas, and their subsets of Kilo Trays, Temple Drive (i think), Front Yard and Rollin Heights...

 

Also I read somewhere that Orange Grove was the original name of the gang and they had plenty of voice work done for it... but they ended up changing the name of the gang but left all the OGF references in there

 

What does every1 else make of this... or what are their opinions, how do they fit all this in??

I have also heard this, and assume it to be what happened to the OGF acronym. I don't think it's exactly clear why they changed it, but it definitely was done late in the game to the point where there was much work already done in the game involving the term (like the voice acting and graffiti).

 

Or, on the other hand, I could be wrong and it could very well just have been an umbrella term for the Grove Street, Seville Boulevard, and Temple Drive Families when they were once united. Go figure.

Im sure that OGF were the grove street, seville boulevard, and temple drive families when they were united. now that they split up they go by their respective set names.

I don't know, but if what you all said is true then after the mission "Reuniting the Families" the name is once again "Orange Grove Families"
