Minigames: Taking requests!

I am hoping to recieve my ordered copy of SanAn for PC tomorrow or tuesday, and being the kind of person I am, I wanna make some mods. More specifically, I want to start coding missions.

 

To start with, I will be taking minigame requests. These can be as obscure or normal as you like, because frankly I have no ideas at the moment!

 

I cannot guarantee I will be able to complete all requests, if any, but don't let that stop you! I am a farily decent programmer, and the GTA scripting language seems really intuitive.

 

Please be as specific as you can with your requests. If you want cutscenes, where you want the minigame to take place, what actor models to use, every little detail that you want specifically. These do not have to be minigames, they can be missions if you like!

 

Like I say, I hope to get the game tomorrow or tuesday. After decompiling and examining the mission scripts, I will get to work on the easier requests, and gradually work my way to the harder ones. After that, I will hopefully join a mod team for writing scripts.

I'll be honest, I never thought I'd see the words "GTA scripting" and "intuitive" in the same sentence. But hey, good luck.

 

How about a "Peacekeeper" type mini-game? Where you have to stop the crooks with non-leathal force? If you kill them, you go to jail, not passing go and getting fined $200.

1. chess. D2/3D solution i do not care, just let them be there.

3.kung-fu master (arcade machines version).

4.dester strike (original amiga release, no PC sh*t) 2D or 3D.

Make something similar to the get-driven-by-vehicle-and-shoot-at-cars type missions in Liberty City Stories. For example, you would be put in the passanger seat of some car, and the driver would go chasing your target cars and you would need to shoot them from the window, using drive-by.

Well, programming-wise it's hardly convoluted, thats what I meant by 'intuitive.'You have one command for one function. Really reminds me of assembly really.

 

Anyway, I have had various suggestions elsewhere as well and a heist like strand seemed a popular idea

 

And I quite fancy the idea simkasgave, of the LCS drive-by. Easy to do, and good results. May incorperate that!

 

PLPynton, I wasnt very clear really, I know, but you kisunderstood. I don't mean minigames as in things like arcade games, I mean single missions.

 

ceedj, whilst its a cracking idea, Im not sure the SA engine incorperates a way of stopping people with 'non-lethal force'! Its a bit kill-or-be-killed. anuj_cop.gif But Ill look into it.

 

So I WILL be incorperating the drive-by target shooting thingy into "The Huste", my 5-mission strand baed on a bank robbery. It may seem a little "The Heist"-like, but, its supposed to, they were some of my fav. missions!

How about a commercial airliner mission! You know you get in a AT400 parked at the end of a run way and you have to fly to 1 ofe the other airports. You also have to follow a flight path and land correctly. I think that would be kinda cool.
