vice city mp downgrade to 1.0?

hey guys i just bought vice city for PC as my friend plays vice city online. he says its realy fun so i bought it. but i come home install it and when i try mp it doesnt work. it says i have the wrong version i need 1.0 even tho i bought it that day anyone know how to downgrade it or something

Ugh. 'Downgrading' is such a buzz word that was produced with the Hot Coffee fiasco of San Andreas. We VC lovers have no need for the word.

 

Anyway, are you from another country (i.e. not USA)? VC:MP will be produced for a certain, probably single EXE. It won't work if you've got a patched EXE or perhaps if you've got a German, Australian, etc. one. I'm not sure here - just speculating, but it sounds like you've got a different EXE to the one for which the installer was designed.

 

At any rate, a re-install can't do any harm. If you have edited the EXE, re-installing will revert it to its original state.

im from australia man, all i did was buy vice city from gamesmen ahah and came home and installed it i didnt mod it or anything. i just installed and it didnt work. and yeah i reinstalled it and it still didnt work hey thanks for helping
