How far can you go?

I've keep flying off the map over the ocean but have gotten to bored to find out what happens.

 

What happens/how far off the map can you go?

Indeed. The game just keeps generating more water. The longer you fly out to sea, the longer it takes to get back. That's all.

I once flew far out there just for fun, went and did some aerobatics in the Shamal, but got too close to the water and it crashed so I had to swim back

Oh, wow. Out of curiosity, exactly how long did it take to swim back to shore?

LOL can't tell ya. I was pretty far out to sea, and I hadn't saved the game for a long time so I couldn't just reload without losing everything.

 

I just placed something heavy on the forward-key and went to watch TV. Checked every now and then to see if I had returned to shore.

Hah, that's class. I think if that had happened to me, at that point I would have just drowned myself to get to the nearest hospital; but then I suppose I'd lose any weapons or armor I had on me at the time.

 

That ocean can be a real bitch. It's too bad there isn't a "Spawn Boat" cheat.

Well, you could just use the "Spawn Vortex" cheat, but it depends on whether it classes as a boat or not.

you could just using "swimmin cars" cheat and then spawn a regular car(just dont try to spawn a motorcycle because there seems to be no cheat to have swimmin bikes....damnit!) then drive back to shore, it'll take a lot less time. man, san andreas is quite different from the other games. because, i remember in gta3 if you use a plane and manage to fly long enough and dont fall in the water (easy way is to use admin console and enable flying vehicles) then the game will turn your vehicle around so you can go back to the shore. but i tried flying in this game and i swear i can go 1,000,000s of miles from san andreas without the game turning the car around. it just sucks because the farther you go, the longer itll take to get back to land. i thought if i kept goin i would find a ghost town but its not there. why?

Well, if you can spawn swimming cars using a couple of cheats, I wonder if it would be at all possible to spawn twenty or so, arrange them into a nice, sizable buoy platform, and spawn a Hydra on top of them, so you can climb in and fly yourself back to shore?

 

Hell, that would be worthy of me busting out Fraps and record the ultimate way to brave hours upon hours of water.
