Any way to increase driving and bike skills faste

Recommended Posts

pimping, taxi driver, ambulance, firetruck, viglante, all help u with that, though i dont recommend trying ambulance and viglante too early (they require higher vehicle control).

n yes, running from police helps increse both, your skill level in game, as well as your actual handling of vehicles in gta.

happy gta'ing...

btw...those schools, contrary to the belief, actually require an insane amount of skill to be able to do anything fruitful there...

yeah i noticed that if i drive at high speeds or do stunts, it increases my driving or bike skills not too long after I did those things. is it just a coinsedence(sp) or if i do stunts or drive at high speeds, it increases the skills faster?

i just started a new game and cant get to the schools yet. is there a way to increase those skills without going to the schools or using cheats?

completing the Driving and Bike schools would increase those respective skills a lot faster than normal gameplay would...other things like stoppies and wheelies for bikes and two-wheel stunts for cars seem to increase the skills faster, though i don't see why that should be, when looking at the relevant data file...

STAT_INC_MOTORBIKE_SKILL  25

STAT_TIMELIMIT_MOTORBIKE_SKILL  180

and,

STAT_INC_DRIVING_SKILL  20

STAT_TIMELIMIT_DRIVING_SKILL  300

basically, this means that in normal gameplay time, 3 minutes of uninterrupted riding of a bike would increase the skill by 2.5%, while 5 minutes of uninterrupted driving of a car would raise the corresponding skill by 2%...

i'd have to disagree with you there...they're in the game for a reason, and can be very helpful in teaching one a few things about driving better, regardless of previously attained skill levels...in any case, it doesn't really matter too much as to how much skill one has, especially when driving a car, since i don't find them handling any differently...

You'll Never Walk Alone

If you mind changing some of the data in the game's files, go to the ar_stats.dat file inside the data folder of your main San Andreas directory and find the lines crazyanurag posted, which are these:

STAT_INC_MOTORBIKE_SKILL  25STAT_TIMELIMIT_MOTORBIKE_SKILL  180and,STAT_INC_DRIVING_SKILL  20STAT_TIMELIMIT_DRIVING_SKILL  300

Now change the 180 to 1 and the 300 to 1 too. Save and load up your game. Get in any car and drive around. You'll instantly notice your stats rapidly rising. The same will happen for your Motorbike skill when you rida a motorcycle.

@crazyanurag: I could swear your karma has increased by two. mercie_blink.gif Mind telling me how? tounge.gif

what the hell is this guy talking about?
super: complete 100% dating with all girl friends by cars

and do most of mission by car from begining.

then 100% will reach very very soon

thats completely irrelevant?

he means 100% Driving Skill, and not 100% completion...

The driving school increases your skill by about 50 percent when you finish it, even if it was zero when you started. You also get an extra 2 percent when you achieve a gold medal in a test.

Without editing any files to cheat, the best way to do it before getting up to the school would be to get a fast car and do laps of the runway at the airport in Los Santos, it will take less time than driving on the roads. You only ever need 20 percent of any given skill to meet the "requirement" to do anything, and increasing it any further seems to be pointless as it makes no difference to anything as far as I noticed and most people seem to think the same thing.
