topdogkiller
Movie Title: Fear and Loathing In Las Vegas Comments: Absolutley brilliant movie, I cannot praise it enough. Score: 10/10 one of the best movies I've seen besides shawshank redemption and at the same time it was hunter S Thompson's real life. He's a genius and this movie and book made me want to try acid. Bauer
That sub-plot in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind emphasized the entire point of the movie. If you don't learn from your mistakes (your "bad" memories"), you'll end up repeating them again. I'm not saying your opinion that you didn't like it is wrong, but I don't believe they put it in at the last minute to "shake things up." Title: Idiocracy. Rating: R A very light satire on the dumbing down of our (i.e., America's) culture. As long as you don't focus on the many plot-holes and other inconsistencies, it's a hilarious film. It is similar to a 1.5 hour cartoon, which Mike Judge has already proven to do very well, and does a excellent job again. Highly recommended to those who like Family Guy, the Simpsons, and obviously King of the Hill. To fans of Office Space, do not expect a similar movie. This movie may have the satire, but it is much more retarded. Oh, and casting Luke Wilson to be the "average joe" is brilliant. 7.5-8ish/10. By the way, you reminded me that I totally need to rent Fear and Loathing this weekend.

Andyzoot
I guess you're right to some extent Bauer. But either way it's a very good film. Title: Toy Story 2 Certificate: I expect it's a U Comments: Best Pixar and Disney Film ever and yes I believe it's better than Finding Nemo. Kids will love it but so will adults as I found when I watched it for only the second time on Monday. Rating: 8.5/
Otter
Disturbia ...It's like American Pie meets Psycho. Goofy goofy creepy goofy. Good for a night out, but utterly goofy. Couple of good chills and lots of laughs. The two kids in the film are gonna make something of themselves.
TenaciousD.
Name: Mr Beans Holiday Rating: PG Comments: Like a stretched out episode with the same amount of jokes but of a slightly less quality. Started quite quickly but soons dies down. One scene got a small laugh and I found one joke actually funny. Towards the end my interest died only to be sparked back up by Emma de Caunes looking as though she could pull a Janet Jackson any moment. just another thug
Title: Grindhouse. I don't know what to say, as it was really two stories. The most enjoyable parts were the faux-trailers. It was definitely subpar for both directors in my opinion. But, I understood what they were working for and it wasn't a complete lost cause. 7.5 /
Bartleby
Wild Hogs, which was actually a decent show. Maybe Tim Allen and John Travolta are both in the twilight of their careers (the former, especially), but I felt those two, Macy, and Lawrence (sans racial jokes and toned-down character) worked as a group. I was happy to see Ray Liotta in this, as well as John C. McGinley having a small part (in a very un-Dr. Cox role), and Marisa Tomei to top the list off. I'm not sure if saying the four main stars acted well as over-the-hill suburban men out for a road trip is a compliment or not, but I enjoyed the show, and the fact that for once in a comedy not all the funny parts are in the trailers. In conclusion, Wild Hogs = good. Ignore the critics.

And that's all you need out of a movie. So I definately thought it was money well spent.

Hayden Stasven
300 The movie was excellent. The true story reflected the great Spartan people, and displays their honor and respect for their own, and persistence, even against great numbers. The movie also had excellent visual effects that were made right here in Australia.

Scarface187
Title: Disturbia Rating: PG-13 Comments: It was alright I guess. A lot of the movie played like a teen movie, plus it was really predictable and relied on a lot of jump out kind of scare moments. Plus it seemed a bit cliche. Other than that it was alright, but I wouldn't plan on seeing it again. Score: 2 1/2 stars Edited April 18, 2007 by Scarface187
jimmy.
Title: The Corner Comments: The most powerful series I've ever seen. It's an 6-part HBO minisieries based on a true story about the lives of drug addicts' daily lives in West Baltimore. It's a really honest and genuine look at a life for a broken family of drug users who live and use around a open-air drug corner in a distressed inner city, and it isn't preachy or judgmental at all. It really has some of the most convincing performances I've ever seen and probably the most three-dimensional characters. It gives humanity to people that we just try to ignore on the street. Really, go rent this, it's beautiful. Score: 5+/5 Edited April 23, 2007 by JIMMY12
Grandthefter
Waynes World 2 on tv last night Tis a good film, not as good as number 1 but still. Alot of good laughs in there still even after watching it so many times. Andyzoot
The Breakfast Club 15 Comments: Another great High School movie from John Hughes. I don't think it can top Ferris Bueller but this film really captures the minds of the 5 teenage characters through one half day in their life. Recommended for people who sort of miss that feeling of going through Secondary School/High School. Score: 7/
Doink
The new Aqua Teen movie. Was just I thought it'd be: A very long, hilarious episode. 8/10 Next up on the movie agenda is Hot Fuzz. Gotta drive and hour to see it though. Meh.
Uno Carb
HOT FUZZ R-rated Score: 10/10 Comments: A comedic first half that will have you laughing your ass off but the jokes are more scattered as it continues. The second half consists of a bit of humor whilst a complete bullet bloodbath is occurring with odes to great movies such as Point Break and Bad Boys II. Also, the cinematography and the music were top-notch and well executed. PS. The HOT FUZZ movie poster is f*cking awesome too.

Mullen
Three Colours: Red (Krzysztof Kieslowski, 1994) A beautiful movie with a lot of deep meanings. It's a part of a trilogy that consists of three movies, but it's only one I've seen so far. Essential to any fan of european art cinema. 8/10 for me. Andyzoot
Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace I don't think it's as bas as people truly believe it is. Sure Anakin and Jar Jar are slightly annoying but it also features the one of the best lightsaber battles of the saga (Obi Wan & Qui Gon vs Darth Maul) 6/10 Star Wars Episode 2: The Clone Wars Personally my least favourite of the trilogy. You've gotta love the gladiator scene at the end but the rest of the film you can't help but want to kick Anakin in the balls. 4/10 Star Wars Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith Definitely the best of the recent trilogy but I wouldn't count it as a classic. Top marks for Ewan Mcgregor for his best performance as Obi-Wan and of course the last 15 minutes are brilliant as we see the half built death star, Luke and Leia finding their new homes and of course...the birth of Vader 7/10 Star Wars Episode 4: A New Hope Personally my favourite of the saga. Features some of the best lines from the saga such as Han Solo trying to convince the imperial guards everything is fine in the detention blocks ("boring conversation anyway!") In fact any line from Han was great. Plus we see a Stormtrooper smack his head on a a door frame. Classic. 9/10 Star Wars Episode 5: The Empire Strikes Back Everybody's favourite so it seems although I'm not too convinved. Sure it is a good film but the plot of Luke and the Hoth monster (Wampa I think) gives the film a slow start. Luckily they make up for it with the Hoth battle which is one of the best battle scenes. Also features my favourite lines from the saga... Leia: I love you. Han: I know 8/10 Star Wars Episode 6: Return of the Jedi And we come to the finale of the saga and a good way to go out. We have the death of Yoda , the Luke/Leia sibling twist and Jabba gets choked to death, which I find incredibly funny for some reason Sure there is the questionability (Is that a word?) of the worlds greatest soldiers having their asses kicked by a bunch of furry creatures but Return of the Jedi is a great ending to a brilliant set of films. 8/10 Yes, you may have noticed I reviewed all 6 films....that is because I watched all of them back to back today. From 7:05am to 8:15pm. Heh.
