Comments: The only horror movie that is worth that title. f*cked up in a way I can't discribe. It actually offended me.

Would you recommend this film though? I've been looking for very disturbing movies recently cos most of these newer "horror" or gore movies don't really bother me. Does this film go too far?

If you're not into animal cruelty (who is?), you might have to look away at the turtle scene. But apart from that, it isn't very disturbing. Pretty f*cked up in a people-doing-bad-things-to-people way, but not nearly as bad as most make it out to be. But maybe I was distracted by the awesome score. Dun dun dun-dun-dun. Pew pew.

 

(And yes, I saw the "uncut" version (in quotation marks because the source was kind of dodgy, but it featured very graphically what people describe as the worst scenes))

 

Maybe a 6 or a 7. Good story and great effects, but marred by the terrible acting. Especially in the New York scenes.

Comments: Sandra Bullock is my favorite actress, so I decided to go see this movie. It had an interesting story, but was very screwy at times.

Score: ehhh 2/5. Good to watch if there is nothing else.

First off, Judi Dench has been M since Goldeneye. And second she's the only woman to play M.

 

EDIT: oh, and the last movie I watched was Boogie Nights.

 

This is the only movie (I've seen) where I can stomach Mark Wahlberg's acting. I'm more of a Donnie Wahlberg fan. He's a much better actor.

 

Anyway. Boogie Nights is a good movie on so many levels. Great story, great cinematography, great editing (especially the music), and my favorite part is probably the dialog.

The Hill Have Eyes 2

 

Get past the absolutely dire acting and it's not a half-bad way to waste an hour and a half. Ok so it's basically 1hr 30mins of cliched-make-you-jump-with-massive-build-up-and-tension-type-horror, but the death scenes are decent and personally I've never seen a mutant get jiggy with a woman before. Seems an interesting experience.

Comments: Very good Shoot Em Up film, finally showing that Americans can do a Guy Ritchie style film, with guns, fights, plot-twists and humour without it coming off too crass or too forced. If you do like films like Snatch, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Layer Cake, then you'll like this film.

Movie: Children of Men

 

Summary: Probably the coolest movie I have ever seen. It has an amazing: Script, actors, direction, cinematography, and soundtrack. I know that can be said about a lot of movies. Children of Men, though, is a movie that does more than what I thought a movie could. Enlightening you on how brilliant this movie is seems impossible to me. Just go watch it.

Must've rubbed off on me alot better back then, just kinda bored me a bit. Expected a tad more.

However, roles taken very well in regards to almighty Clint and Andrew Robinson.

S'pose it's a mood thing. As goes with alot of films.

Yeah I'd say mutilating real animals is going too far as well as graphic rape scenes.

Comments: A f*cking amazing double feature. Planet Terror was a hilarious gore soaked thrill ride, while Death Proof started off really really really slow but managed to entertain me in the end. Awesome movie.

Score: 4 1/2 stars

 

The half a star is for Death Proof being really slow and boring in spots.

Basically a almost 2 hour episode of Mr Bean doing his usual thing. I liked Mr Bean's TV Series but now its shown there's only so many situations to put him in before you've seen it all before.

Great film, some of the effects were dodgy. But on the other hand some of the fighting scenes were unreal. Costumes in it must of taken for f*cking ever to make. All of it is in subtitles, but its pretty easy to follow. Cool story.

Title: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

Comments: Caught this on Channel 4 having never seen it before and I have to say I thought it was a great film. Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet had great chemistry which carried the movie on. Plus there are some snazzy special effects thrown in as we see Jim Carrey's memories of Kate slowly drain away. A compelling viewing although I thought that little sub-plot involving Kirsten Dunst seemed like a bit of an afterthought to shake things up a bit which didn't go down well with me to be honest. Otherwise, very good.
