Andyzoot
Movie Title: Hot Fuzz Rating: huh? Age Rating? If so it's a 15 I think Comments: All the best jokes were saved for the trailer but the action was hella good even though it is all shoved into the last 30 minutes. Nick Papagiorgio
Name- Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan Rating- Rated R in the USA. That's 17 and above, I believe. Comments- All around laugh-fest. Though it had no point, it was by far one of the best comedy films in recent memory, and Sascha Baron Cohen really did a great job in creating and acting as Borat. Genuine genius. I loved every minute of it. (even the totally gross naked fight scene, to an extent ) Score- 5/5 stars ll 9.7/10 Awesome movie.
jimmy.
The last 4 movies I've seen: Movie Title: Borat. Rating: R Comments: One of the most consistently funny movies I've seen. It's one of those rare movies nowadays that actually live up to the hype. Everyone knows about this, so nuff said. Score: 9.5/10 Movie Title: Style Wars Rating: ? Comments: The best hip hop culture movie I've ever seen. It's a documentary and it's remarkable how much footage they catch on film. They follow around kids bombing trains with graffiti in 1982, going so far as to enter the train yards with them. The storyline is genuinely entertaining, as we see how the writers relate to their parents, their rival writers, and the transit administration. The soundtrack is top-notch and filled with venerable old school hip hop. The accents are great too. PS: You can watch this one on Google Video legitimately for free. Score: 9/10 Movie Title: Wild Style Rating: R Comments: An interesting look into hip hop culture in 1982 New York, much like Style Wars. However, whereas Style Wars focused on break dancing and graffiti mainly, Wild Style is more into the culture at large, and is not a documentary. Personally, I like Style Wars more, and was definitely disappointed by this. I had heard this movie, for years, hyped by a major cult following, so I was expecting much better. My main concern is that this movie has some subplots that I didn't really care much for and worse, were just forgotten towards the end, half-realized. The acting isn't stellar, either. Still, it is a really fascinating look at the scene, and as with Style Wars, worth watching just for the soundtrack. Score: 7.5/10 Movie Title: Reno 911: Miami Rating: R Comments: I saw it with my brother, who also watches this show pretty regularly. It is pretty funny throughout and it was what it was marketed as, a "stupid funny" movie for when you want to just relax and laugh at sophomoric humor. However, coming out of the movie, my brother made a good point. The plot sucked, a lot. Fine, it's a stupid movie, but it seemed like it was just written by a couple of high kids in an hour. It was parodying stupid cop movies, but didn't really do anything new, inventive, or actually funny with the plot. The plot was an afterthought and every funny moment is a result of them improvving. Still, it gets the job done, and if you like the show, you will like this movie, guaranteed. It translated better than I thought to the big screen. Mafia Righthand_Man
Guess I'll do the last few I've seen as well. Movie Title: Idiocracy Rating: R Comments: Thought it was pretty hilarious. It gets a little slow in the middle, but good laughs about the whole movie through. Score: 8/10 Movie Title: 300 Rating: R Comments: Nonstop action. The fighting is so well done. And who doesn't think 300 Spartans kicking thousands of Persian asses doesn't make a good movie? I really enjoyed the movie. Score: 10/10 Movie Title: The Departed Rating: R Comments: Very well done plot. Great characters, great music, funny. Ony gripe is that it's long because some things get dragged out too long. Still, EXCELLENT movie. Score: 9/
MrLorenzo
Movie Title: Caligula Rating: Hard to say, I watched the uncut version, and all the ratings I can find are for the cut one. Either unrated or X-rated, I believe. Comments: Wow. A film hasn't just left me as speechless as this one. Sure, there have been far more f*cked up things in film, but they're all B-grade jobs. This is Malcolm McDowell ("was in A Clockwork Orange and now makes a living doing cameos as the handsome old British man" Malcolm McDowell) fisting a dude. Up the butt. With a handful of grease. After raping the guy's virgin fiance. Sure, there are other scenes. Malcolm McDowell dancing around. Malcolm McDowell having a nervous breakdown and dancing around naked in the rain. Large amounts of cut-away hardcore sex scenes, and a huge orgy in a brothel. Cutting a dude's junk off. Some huge decapitation machine that almost certainly never existed. Malcolm McDowell f*cking his sister. Some sweet man-on-man fellatio. Guys jacking off into a bowl for some woman to rub on her skin (with some awesome cum shots). Giant cock-shaped candles. But damn, man, the fisting. And yes, I'm probably making this movie out to be more than it really is, but I can now die happy having seen Malcolm McDowell fisting a dude (and the blood resultant thereof). Seriously. Score: Awesome/5, or f*cked up/10. I couldn't even rate this if I wanted to. (If any of you doubt the awesomeness, PM me and I should be able to find some way to upload the scene I'm gushing about so gushingly.)

ChickenWings
Hills Have Eyes II Definately an R It was ok, but alot of the killings had no motive. A trait common of many of today's horror movies. 6.5/
Bartleby
The Departed Rating: R (definitely) I know a lot of people think this is overrated (like me, before seeing it this second time), but I really had no problem suspending my sense of disbelief for this movie. Not that this movie was unrealistic; quite on the contrary, in fact, as I don't think the acting jobs done by DiCaprio, Wahlberg, Damon, Baldwin, Nicholson, and Sheen could have been any better. I really enjoyed this movie from beginning to end. For once, I didn't feel like throwing myself down a flight of stairs in the middle of a flick starring Leo. Exceeded my expectations, it did. Score: 9/10 Movie Title: Matrix Reloaded Rating: 15 Comments: Not near as good as the original but entertaining none the less. Bartleby
I just saw Reign Over Me. Yes, that new Adam Sandler movie. But I don't care what anyone says, because after seeing it, I have realized: ADAM SANDLER CAN DO DRAMA. Cheadle and Sandler portray their roles so perfectly. When I was watching it, I wasn't once thinking about that 30-some mop-top guy actually being the same fellow who'd played Happy Gilmore, Billy Madison, or any other goofballs he's portrayed in the past. Adam Sandler was f*cking brilliant, as was Don Cheadle working opposite him. And yes, this is a movie that mentions 9/11, but that is NOT the central theme; not by a long shot. This movie's about dealing with grief, and how feelings like it can be misunderstood and dismissed by people (not too different from The Stranger, if you've ever read it). I hesitate to give this movie a rating, because that may just tie it down; you see it for yourself, and form your own opinion. As for me, it's the best movie I've seen in theaters for a good while. jimmy.
I knew Adam Sandler could do drama before this, as he was good in the Wedding Singer and Punch Drunk Love, but I still thought that movie looked sappy as f*ck. I'm glad to hear it was not 911-centric and was well-done, so on your recommendation I might go see it now.
