matt27689
Some questions.. 1. How long will it last when it arrives. (power) 2. I heard you can attach it to a plug to charge, or do I have to do it via the PS3 USB. jking
it should be a few hours to fully charge it and i dont know about any plug but any usb source can charge it! Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/270033-charging-sixaxis/#findComment-4103616 Share on other sites
MMFF
I'm not sure exactly how long it lasts. I usually get like 3 days before I need to charge, depending on how much I play. The controller is already full charged when you get the PS3. By plug, are you talking about an outlet? I f so, I don't think so. You get a USB cord with the controller, and you plug it into the PS3 when it is turned on. You can charge while you play, its not a big deal. Seddo
If my 360 is not switched on and just charge my controller using a USB slot on my PC and the charge usally last a few days, so i would assume the you can do the same with your PS3 and get quite a few days out of it. Unless you have more than 4 controllers that all need to be charged at once. lol Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/270033-charging-sixaxis/#findComment-4103924 Share on other sites
GTA3Freak-2001
Can you still play while its charging? Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/270033-charging-sixaxis/#findComment-4103937 Share on other sites
BroDan
As far as i'm aware the PS3 controller can ONLY be charged whilst the console is switched on. Which is sh*te in all honesty. The 360 one can be charged while the console is switched off as long as the power brick is plugged into a socket. The 360 will always have power running through it's USB ports. I think that's the only complaint i've read about for the PS3 controllers. monkeyman237
I aslo read that you can plug in a pad with a lead and still play even if the battery is flat. Is this true? VideoPoker
I aslo read that you can plug in a pad with a lead and still play even if the battery is flat. Is this true? Yeah. I have two controllers so when one dies, I charge it and use the other one. You can charge and play with the USB cable, but the one that comes with the PS3 is only 4ft long. matt27689
Sorry, this is thing I thought was a plug. Charging Dock I thought you stuck the controller in there and plugged it in. But it's just to keep it looking tidy. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/270033-charging-sixaxis/#findComment-4104908 Share on other sites
