there are no helicopters or planes available until the second island is unlocked.

 

here is a list of the aircraft available in the game though.

 

Maverick - on helipad north of stadium enterance once 2nd island unlocked, and one can be found in the airport that triggers the side mission 'vice tours'.

 

VCPD Maverick - on top of these police stations once 2nd island unlocked.

* downtown police station * washington beach police station

 

VCN Maverick - no idea. perhaps 100% complete should unlock it.

 

Hunter - complete 'last stand' from the story missions to unlock it at the airport. in this, you can do 'skywolf' missions.

 

Sea sparrow - no idea. perhaps 100% complete should unlock it.

 

Sparrow - once 2nd island unlocked, it will spawn on the helipad at the airport.

 

Skimmer - once 2nd island unlocked, you can purchase this plane for $4500 at the 'clymenus suite' or you can take it from the pier south-east of the downtown police station.

 

Flight VCS - these large passenger jets haven't really got a name, but once you unlock the 2nd island you can enter these. i am talking about the white ones that are computer controlled. {you can use an 'ambulance' to get onto the wing. then quickly keep tapping TRIANGLE. if vic falls over, he will fall of the wing & you will have to do the same thing with the next plane. if vic gets in, then you can just sit back & have a relaxing flight. you can't exit the plane until it is in the air.

 

Biplane - there are 2 of these in the airport once the 2nd island is unlocked. one is at the north-east top of the diagonal runway that triggers the side mission 'crims on wings' & theres one that is in the hangar that triggers

VCPD maverick 2 - although when you get in one it doesn't say '2', this police maverick doesn't have doors. i have no idea where it can be found. probably a 100% game complete reward.
