I can't even believe Em even paid attention to the guy, just like ICP.

Eminem actually dissed ICP before they even knew who the hell he was. Before Eminem was even famous and ICP was big in Detroit, Eminem would pass out fliers for his shows that had a big list of Detroit names that "might show up" to his show, including ICP. After he got famous he went on Howard Sterns show and when asked about them said something about how he used to beat their asses all the time, when really he was just trying to use their name (and every other Detroit rapper's name) to get people to come to his shows.

ICP did say it themselves though, why would a multi-platinum artist, arguably the most famous rapper across the world, pay attention to an underground group. I remember they're track, Slim Anus, and I thought it was pathetic (a Dr. Dre gay joke, shocking!). But I heard a collab. they did with Bone Thugs and Tech N9ne, pretty decent track for them Juggalos.

And as for conflicting underground scenes, I think people are always focused on New York because that's where everything started. The West had its glory days, but classic wordplay and lyricism is what a lot of people have been craving these days, and the pinnacle of it would be New York.

Oh, and as for Tupac coming back, who knows...07/07/07 is coming up by the way... biggrin.gif

Because when Eminem was underground (or "undiscovered") ICP was making money selling out shows in Detroit and he was pretty much a nobody. They never gave him the light of day so he used his new-found fame to put them down. Not to mention, ICP had a platinum record at the time (they have 3 now), so they were far from underground. They enjoyed their short stint of fame and now are probably making more money than they were signed to a big record label, looking at the millions of shirts they sell on a yearly basis.

You know what I think?

I think I have no problem with 50 cent if he doesnt make any more songs about his rides and how many girls he f*cked.

I saw yesterday Em's "Superman" videoclip, and it emphasized how much his voice is annoying. And I think He's made enough money fact of being a white (not latin, or south american/central american) hip hopper that made success in the mainstream scene.

I've been listening to a lot of Mantronix later and I've been pleased with their work. I dig old school hip hop.

Supply me with some input.

Eminem turned the world with his lyrics and flow in 2000, but let's face it. We're all tired of his produced beats.

I'm waiting for Eminem to have another album like the Marshall Mathers LP. That was his best album to me. The one thing that Eminem needs to do though is to stop producing. Some of his beats are okay but most of them sound the same. He needs to let Mr. Porter, DJ Head, Dr. Dre, and Mel-Man do his beats. He also needs to use more of his Shady crew in singles and stop messing and rapping with 50.

I saw yesterday Em's "Superman" videoclip, and it emphasized how much his voice is annoying.

The great thing about Eminem is that he can change his voice around.

Oh, and as for Tupac coming back, who knows...07/07/07 is coming up by the way...

I wish he would come back from the dead.

I gotta agree with you Ganton, Mo Bee was one of the best back in the day. It's crazy that he's one of the very few to produce for both Pac and Big, yet not get caught up in all the drama. I love how he draws his inspiration from jazz-style production, but one track where I saw he switched his style up on was Biggie's "I Love the Dough".

As for Em, I personally liked his biting of Nas and AZ on Infinite. People think he did it to try and make money off them, but he was just trying to find his flow and persona on the mic, and really changed it up on his next EP.

Todays most hardcore beats are produced in underground hip hop.

Johnny J, QD3, Easy Mo Bee, Stretch (rip.), and prominent former Death Row producers and contributors.

They've produced great songs, and made memorabilia. But let's face it, they'll not do anything like they used to in 1996, in the present day.

And on another note, Dr. Dre sucks.

You know who's a better producer than anyone you mentioned? Count Bass D. Most slept on talent in rap, ever. Finally got a hold of one of his records. Oh, god, his beats are so unique and beautiful.

i think i've heard of him Paco did he do any production on Pac's Me Against The World?? if so i think i saw him on the credits. And Cameo its not that Dre sucks i like alot of his beats but i think the crappy factor is he dosen;t make them classic beats anymore that were G Funk orientated and hes trying new things but thats what i liked about Dre's style he kept to his old standards of G Funk. As for other under rated producers i've gotta say Soopafly that guy has made some very good beats that are real mellow and has that LBC style. Easy Mo Bee thought that guy should get back in the game i definatly loved them beats for Me Against The World they were powerful songs 2 Pac at his best. Strech i've never really been able to find any of his work i would love to get hold of some of his acapella's to use in future remix albums i make since my 2001 Albums nearly done. but all the producers mentioned are very good if they were on the circuit today maybe we would have some decent tracks and none of this get low bullsh*t. Another dude who hasn;t been mentioned and his previous album was very good production wise and that was DJ Quik the Trauma album as angry as it was had some very good tracks on it like Get Up Featuring AMG & The Game there delivery's were brilliant deffo worth buying.

My point exactly. Doctor Dre doesnt make those songs that got me hooked when I was 14 years old. These new sounds are poluting the radio waves.

I'm still surprised how 50 Cent managed to stay on the "top" for so long. I'm surprised he aint dead yet.

We can get better rhymes and better beats back onto the mainstream. But nothing like the beats done back in 1994, when the beats where fresh and the sound was made for the real hip hop listeners.

Even the freestyles back then were deeper.

I recently got an oldie back from a friend of mine (let it borrowed for almost 7 years) BG Knocc Out and Dresta's Real Brothas album. The song Compton Hoe had those deep lyrics with those nice beats produced by the Ruthless crew.

It's a must buy. Not something you would find turning your radio on.

Just got an, er, "try-before-you-buy" listen of Bone Thug's new Strength and Loyalty album, same one with single I Tried. I gotta say I'm impressed, the first two tracks really blow out your speakers. In my case, literally, I popped it in my CD player while pulling out of my school parking lot and "POP!" biggrin.gif Even with the sub-part production, aka mainstream producers, it's a decent album, especially for a group who's been on the scene for so long. I'd say at least worth checking out, and if you're a Bone fan, just buy it. smile.gif
