Ratatat made sh*t music awesome. What the f*ck isn't to like? The sh*t lyrics end up having piss-take humour injected, involuntarily.

Why would i bother with sh*t music that has only been improved through beats etc..lyrics are still mainly garbage. Ive got a ton of hip hop to get through so this isnt taking any priority. Just my own opinion.

Listened to Handlebars and Stand Up so far on Flobots MySpace. They've got something good going on there, i've loved both songs so far. I actually hope they make a name for themselves in the future if what i've heard so far is anything to go by

I have gotten Tupac's album: Best of 2pac: Thug and Best of 2pac: Life.

 

I think it's the best Album out for 2007. I didn't like rap music before, until I heard some of his songs. He's really a great singer and producer in my opinion.

 

Most rappers nowadays only think of making money, and don't take their lyrics, and flow, seriously.

I've noticed that with a lot of people, Tupac was one of the first rappers they started listening to. He sort serves as a foundation for first-time listeners, and eventually they branch out to other styles and flavors of hip hop. Pick up his Me Against the World album if you can Concept, great bundle of tracks.

 

I must have over a hundred of unreleased/OG versions of Pac material stashed on my HDD.

I've never really liked pac tbh, never thought of him as anything special. Alot of people hail him as the greatest rapper and all that, but meh, I don't see it. He was a great rapper, just not anything mindblowing or anything.

 

I'm still loving Tonedeff, his flow is just great.

And with Pac fans, at least not the dumb ones, we recognize that he wasn't the best lyricist or MC. He touches on subjects not many others do, and at the same time he managed to reach a broad audience. The things he said was real though, and he was a real dude.

I thought I'd mention Classified. I've always liked his rhymes, his songs carry a positive message. My favourites are All About U feat. Chad Hatcher and Hard to be Hip Hop feat. Maestro. Check him out.

His two albums are mostly solo, only 1 or two tracks that aint. But I just love listening to them, I have played them over and over for the past two days. Love it.

He's pretty good. I love that Champions freestyle. Heh, i remember one night on skype, me and Rayo Puno got drunk and he tried to mimic it. I believe it went a little like this.... "[incoherent mumbling]....BITCH!"

Tonedeff is probably my favorite MC, easily the most universal artist in Hip-Hop, he sings, raps, produces, owns his own label, and battles (he's far from the best battler though). In fact I'm listening to Porcelain right now.

 

Classified is damned good as well.

I haven't got any solo sh*t by Tonedeff. I've heard him on some of Cunninlynguists songs and he's pretty dope. I got a JB-Hi Fi gift card for Christmas so I might buy his Archetype album later.

I was a bit surprised with his singing ability. The guy's got talent. Disappointed that I can only seem to find two of his albums though, but his official page has a few other tracks up as well.

 

In other news of my hip hop listening, I listened to Lupe Fiasco's The Cool. Overall I wasn't too impressed, but I do like the more darker tone it gives off. I really appreciate an artist who does more to reinvent himself when releasing a new album, especially after a debut as nice as Lupe's.
