He's in gen pop, but that dont mean sh*t until he goes to prison, if anything someone may shank him. but its pretty hard to do anything in gen pop.

I wouldn't even call it hip-hop, even though it's by Ye. It's more electropop, R&B like. There's only like, one track that actually has any rapping.

 

Either way, I don't know how to feel about the album, and it's not even the drowning autotune that gets me. It's just the lack of natural emotion in it. Everything feels artificial and robotic with the exception of Pinocchio Story and a few other tracks. I understand it's probably the intention, but it just feels wrong. Kanye has made better, more naturally emotional material in the form of MBDTF, TLOP and even his recent works, KSG and ye.

 

Nonetheless, there's no discounting the influence this album has had on hip-hop. Drake, the Weekend, among others wouldn't exist had it not been for this album, even if it's mediocre in comparison to MBDTF, TCD or Late Registration.

Speaking of Antwon, yeah thats a pitty. I did a photoshoot with him a few years ago. We spent about 10 minutes alone taking photos near the venue he was playing that night. He didnt say a word to me. It was kind awkward. Perhaps it was all the traveling and him being baked or maybe I was more happy to see him than he was me, another photographer, on the road. 

 

Last video... haven't posted in a while but had a nice week with music. Check out RZA's impromptu verses at the end. Brilliant.

BTW Bobby Tarantino was cool, except the third track (jam). Logic is probably the most underrated rapper in 2010's.

Nice somebody listens to YG. I appreciate G Funk more than other forms of rap currently because of the association with San Andreas (where I learned about G-Funk from). "Still Brazy" is a good album I'm glad someone mentioned it. Have you heard YG's latest album "Stay Dangerous"?
