Listened to those two Ferg joints, wasn't too keen on the first but the second was dope. He has a pretty unique flow about him and it's nice to see his style becoming more refined; I rememeber when ASAP as a collective were becoming more popular (2011/2012) and he got slated for his verses on the A$AP Selector freestyle and other earlier projects. His stuff in 2013/2014 onwards when he blew up more as a solo artist (Shabba, Dump Dump, Work etc) whilst enjoyable definitely came across as more hype orientated tracks than anything else whereas the new stuff linked definitely seems alot more developed.

I definetly recommend the rest of Ferg's Still Strivin' It has 3-4 songs than I don't enjoy listening to, been pumping the rest of the album the last few days. He totally stole Rocky's light if you ask me. I like Rocky but Ferg has a better, more enjoyable flow. I didn't know him too well before Always Strive and Prosper , but that's where he really got me, one of my favorite albums of the last year.

I'm going to have to give the two 'Saturation' albums a proper listen. From what I've heard I've enjoyed them.

 

Added Goodie Mob's 'Soul Food' to my physical collection this week. Cee-Lo's had a heck of a career. Makes me wonder what happened to the rest of the Mob. (Apart from that one reunion album). Anyone know?

 

Interesting to know that the phrase 'Dirty South' was coined on this album. Didn't know that until this week. So..

Yeah, I thought that after getting the album.. It's so strange..The thing that actually made him famous in the first place is what people now remember him the least for.

I loved those two Gnarls Barkley albums.

 

I really liked those two Flatlinerz tracks you posted, Pink. I'd not heard of them before.
