Forgot to post photos from KRS One a couple months back.. Here's one.

30854207780_8a6071b99d_c.jpg

It was one of the best gigs I was ever at. Amazing. He puts on such a show. He doesn't hold back. He didn't get to hung up on classics and did a nice mixed set of old and new.

He also came in through the front he door and was dying for a piss. My mate was in the john as he walked in. I got to pat him on the shoulder on the way in. I was just standing there and this tall figure steps in front of me.. f*ck.. It's KRS One!

I'm so lucky because tomorrow I'm going to see Chali 2Na...

Didn't know he painted graffiti.. you can seem him this video.. He's a true Hip Hopper, not just a rapper.

When the New York graffiti artist Futura gets noticed and recognized by British punk rock band The Clash and ends up singing with the band but also designing the graphics on their Combat Rock album in 1982, the same year his own single gets released. He rap's about his one and only passion. A huge underground track from back in the early hip hop days.

Was the world ready for graffiti?

This pic sums it up

An interesting short film on the life and times of Futura 2000

This video was inspired by GTA, but the video sucked imo. I think the guys rapping were alright though.

Eh, the playlist disappeared. It was good for the few days it lasted..

@Pink - Basically front row seats at that KRS One gig by the looks of it. Wow. Couldn't ask for a better vantage point. Looks like you had an amazing time.

And you met Charli? Mad. Did you get an autograph as well as the pic? He's easily always been my favourite part of J5. That voice of his is incredible, he needs to do more stuff with it. How did it sound live?

i think i read an atmosphere article/interview where he touched on overcast and how he felt he was trying too hard with his self worth and resentment towards women which is evident in this track but it's still a good one and holds up well 20 years later

Hey yeah it's a small venue and it's all standing and I had to do a little work to get to the front. Shot on a 40mm lens to give you more a sense of closeness but it was close enough.

I didn't ask Chali for an autograph, I stopped thinking to ask for them since I started with photography, wouldn't have been a bad idea. I'm so happy with the photo although I chopped his hands out. It's kind of awkward because I can get a little nervous being in the moment meeting people I love and then trying not to f*ck the photo up.

Funnily enough I was at

backstage and met the guy who brought over KRS and he also got DJ Premier and Masta Ace but didn't even hear about those gigs except for Masta Ace but couldn't make it. :( I'm looking forward to who he brings over next.

Nice man. It's a good photo even without the hands.

Do you go these gigs solo?

Cosmic Gypsy

L Swift is ridiculously slept, and Natural Elements as a crew also.

Almost certain I heard Goodie Mob's 'Cell Therapy' in Moonlight earlier today, so now 'Soul Food' is getting a dust off and a spin.

There were a few other hip hop songs in there, but that's the only one I think I recognised. Also a great film. Worth the attention.

I think you're going to love all 3 RtJ albums. They're really energetic and sound like nothing else.

So ignoring that stupid bit from the 'BadBadNotGood' track with Snoop Dogg that's caught the media's attention over the last couple of days, I think it's actually a good song. And it's a creative music video. Snoop Loops.

Yeah, I see what you mean in that tune a bit. Check out these, she's definitely a skilled rapper.
