Youtube is sh*t, man. I don't know with vimeo, but youtubing is taking what you upload and can do what they want with it. Vimeo is also much easier.

Getting stuck into Kid Cudi's 'Speedin' Bullet 2 Hell' album and I'm enjoying it. I've heard some 50/50 opinions about the project but so far it sounds like more Cudi to me - even though there's very, very little hip hop in this one so far - and it's still working for my ears. His 'Man on the Moon' series, 'Indicud' and 'WZRD' have all had plenty of memorable tracks looking back at them. At his best he's still unique and great.

 

Seems I completely missed his 'Satellite Flight: The Journey to Mother Moon' album last year.

 

Has anyone else listened to either project?

And i'd have to disagree with HipsterHillbilly, YouTube is one of the main go-to places on the net for music, nobody uses Vimeo. It's all SoundCloud, YouTube, BandCamp, etc. YouTube can't do anything they want with your videos and even if they can, they don't. (They can remove it for no reason but that just isn't going to happen).

 

Willing to bet 99% of all links posted in this thread are YouTube links.

Ah well, my experience with the tube might differ to others. I once uploaded a skate video there without saving it to my computet, and it just dissapeared, seems like them social media folk conspire against me.

 

Vimeo might not be the most popular, but it's easy to use and if you're not looking to reach out to the larger crowd it would be the better alternative imo.

 

But enough said about this, I'm clearly not winning this, haha. Let's take it back to parappa...

MPC's are fun as f*ck, once you get into the swing of things, being able to tap out your rhythm and cuts is amazing. I've never made a beat using an MPC or any other sampler, but my mates use them all the time and i have a little play on them now and again, i find software production much more frustrating and more of a chore, although i made all my beats on software, back in the day so I haven't had equal experience on both side, probably not the man to ask.
