one for the grown up hip hop heads here. Whole album is crack and sha is bordering on lyrical genius..only caught this last year. Dont let the songs generic title fool you, if youre over 18 chances are youve been through this sh*t. Three of the best verses Ive heard in a hip hop track. Last few bars of the second verse still give me goosebumps.

I'm a big fan of Sha Stimuli. Although I haven't known of his music for too long; myself finding his music through Last.fm. He is one of those rappers that had an opportunity to be hugely successful commercially, but due to circumstances it didn't work out. Which is a shame, because he is a very talented man.

@Funky: I've haven't checked into Earl, and I always thought the 'Free Earl' comments and chants were due in place because he was in prison or something. Although you could argue that he is in a prison, metaphorically speaking. That is some very good research by those over at Complex, especially considering their target audience and writing is simple and accessible. I never felt them to be the type to do something as intricate as this, allthough I am sure that had help, and that a lot of this information was already well known.

Agreed I still honestly do not see his appeal as a solo artist I've enjoyed his contributions to some tracks when hes been featured but the hype thats been around him is ridiculous.

going by the last 2 posts, I gotta say I prefer OF over Young Money, simply because Young Money is pretty much a business enterprise for Lil Wayne, like the modern day Junior M.A.F.I.A., but appealling to the RnB demographic. end of the day Lil Wayne isn't rap anymore, admittedly he was pretty good up until Tha Carter III, then once Drop The World was released, it ended, No Love felt like a better version of Drop The World and without a doubt, Lil Wayne actually was decent on it, as was Eminem, but I've stopped taking notice now that his Queen Bitch is in the spotlight, and apparently 'inspiring' young girls. I sound like a bitter-ass jumped up 17 year old, but I think I'm one of the few people that I know whose music taste isn't defined by what MTV want you to hear.

redownloaded The Chronic, I hope that Detox has a few gems like Aint Nothing But a G Thang to listen to, Dre was alright on I Need a Doctor but even that was sub-par in comparison to the classic G Funk.

Detox is going to be a massive let down Dre hasn't done jacksh*t on it from the recent 4 leaks of the tracks that are going to be on it. Its not even a Dr Dre record because Dre hasn't done anything and the fact of the matter is he isn't even using decent producers apart from DJ Khalil. Personally at this point I would say the Aftermath Compilation from 96 and the Firm album blow Detox out of the water.
