Made a playlist to enjoy in the sun and after hearing a bit of Del, I just gave up and listened to Both Sides Of The Brain instead.

Anyone a fan?

bro dont get mad coz he posted it twice that just means someone else likes what u like

I wouldn't get so annoyed over one person, but when it is a repeating occurrence over and over and over again, I'm supposed to say nothing? I don't think so. The Rough track being posted again was a piss take as it was, but then I click to the next page to 600 Bnez again; by then I had enough.

Speaking of which mati1501, those Ice Cube tracks you have been posting have been posted time and time again also. But is more understandable, seeing as they were posted a while ago now. But your case isn't helped when others are doing the aforementioned.

gamesguru, it's forum habits, I understand 100% where you're coming from but you're acting like this thread is something important to you. I'm not going to argue with you over something a menial as a forum topic, but lighten up a little bit and stop coming across as arrogant. people are going to post a song that they think was new; you know that it's going to happen; look at the V forums, whenever something new is revealed wether it be a stupid Tweet or a full blown game reveal, it's going to posted more than once. it's bound to happen, moaning about it wont stop it, so in all honesty, you'd do better to just hold your proverbial tounge about and live with it. the internet is full of people who wont bother checking the previous page to see if its been posted, so theres no point in getting angry over it.

anyway, anybody here a fan of Mikill Pane?

I understand that this type of thing happens, and it will always happen. I was somewhat fine with it up until a point. I found it acceptable, but only to a degree. With the GTAV forum I expect such a thing to happen more so, as the forum is filled with young inexperienced members, excited at the prospect of anything regarding Grand Theft Auto. However, here, the forum is quieter and tends to be filled with a maturer and and more finer select of members. As of recent, with a newer influx of posters (although it is not just them), such a problem has risen; it is more consistent and prominent.

I do take issue with it, hence why I finally felt the need to express my opinion. I don't aim to change anything, and I very much doubt anything will be changed. But I will be damned if I just twiddle my thumbs and act as if I'm completely fine with it and that I believe that it is acceptable. Especially considering that in the past such a thing here was not so much an issue, as it was a minor occurrence. It has been increasing, and I felt that it should be known. I'm not angry, but I am annoyed to a point. People many times have expressed their displeasure at this type behaviour in other forums (typically the newer Grand Theft Auto forums), Music Talk is no acceptation. I've said my piece, I've let my opinion be known. This type of activity will continue regardless, but I'd rather mention it now than later.

I've never heard of Mikill Pane, but I just listened to his stuff and it sound pretty good. I might have to check out a few more tracks by him.

Nice to see Distant Relatives still being promoted, albeit a bit late and at a somewhat useless time. I don't see how people feel Nas 'fell off'. That is all I here in the comments of blogs, but then again, what else are you to expect? Distant Relatives was dope, and so was his last album Untitled. There was a few duds on the album (the singles), but other than that it was great addition to his discography. Queens Get The Money, N.I.G.G.E.R, Sly Fox, Project Roach, Testify & Fried Chicken were highlights for me. Although with recent Nas leaks/freestyle, people are praising him again. I just don't get people sometimes. People love to hate.

New Beastie Boys is around the corner, and now there is a new track available:

Permanent Link.

@King: I don't see the problem with posting older Rap/Hip-Hop tracks. This is the Official Rap and Hip Hop Topic and not the Official New Rap and New Hip Hop Topic. I find it rather pointless people just posting new material. We have blogs and other sites dedicated to that. Posting older tracks allows us to reflect on an era/type of music, as well artists and stories regarding the content of such songs, and how they relate to us.

Not posted here for a while but I'm kinda glad to see Game has found his feet again with his music because from 09' to late 10' the quality of his material wasn't as consistant as it usually is so I hadn't really been checking for him but Red Nation is definitely a decent effort the only real downfall of it is Waynes chorus.

I partially agree about the hook. I like it, although it definitely isn't bad. But at the same time Game could have done the hook himself. Even though presumably Wayne wrote it, I would have preferred if Game did it himself (even if Wayne had to write it). The hook is nothing special either (My Life had a really good hook), but the song nonetheless has also rekindled my interest in Game, and I have been non-stop looking for any drip feed of information. I just hope the final album is similar to the 'rumoured' tracklists that have been compiled of the confirmed songs, and is o a similar standard to what has recently been leaked.

I do like the 'blood the f*ck up' part of the hook though.

Well Guru I agree with you on My Life it is one of the few tracks I can stand Wayne but him and Game do work well as I did like that Red Magic track they did. The only thing that has annoyed me about Game is the handling of his crew and label i'll be honest BWS hasn't had a decent line up in along time and that DJ Haze can't make a decent mixtape. I also heard that track that Koolo guy leaked on twitter by Game I think its called Monsters In My Head.

Tried to get into Big KRIT, but I really ain't feelin' his sh*t. Don't know why really, I feel like I am listening to a more educated Plies, don't like the style or his flow. A lot of respect though, he had a few tracks that were decent, just not my taste.

@gamesguru,

despite being a little late with this response, after reading the GTA Newsletter I'd like to at least justify my odd postings in the Hip-Hop topic.

I don't often visit this topic so I'm usually not up to date with the current discussion of rap artists and their work. Of course, that's no excuse to not read the posts above mine, but at the time of my last post the general discussion was revolving around "The Game" and some other artists that I myself would deem "thuggish hip hop" (for lack of a better expression, but what I'm trying to say is that it just wasn't my cup o'tea). Instead of posting a sentence or two about how clueless I am to these artists, instead I just decided to not comment at all and share rap video, seeing how it is the rap topic. (well, I commented on Tony Resta's songs because he was asking for feedback).

I am guilty, however, of posting a video without saying much about it. Well there are two main reasons why I felt inclined to drop that video off in this topic: 1) i'd just listened to it myself, and thought it was worthy of sharing, and 2) I felt it was relatively obscure enough so that others may discover a new hip hop artist. It wasn't like I was I posting "California Love" or anything..

Well, there's my two cents on the recent issue at hand! When I come across some other rap worthy of sharing/discussing, I'll be back smile.gif

I have personally no problem with people posting just random videos, even I do it. I do take issue with those who are constant offenders, specifically in relation to duplicated content; it should be filtered as such as such an activity is over-saturated by particular individuals. The dig at the 'random video posting' was to further my point on many ignoring others and newly posted content altogether. As opposed to it being a singled-out issue.

I remember Royce earlier in the week stating on Twitter that his new single was coming in a few days. I was expecting a Slaughterhouse track though. I hope that the Session Two track is going to be on Success Is Certain (if you think Royce sounds aggressive here, then you should check the

of that), I'm gathering it will be. Am I the only one in thinking that the vocals could be louder? At least, for the first verse, as I had difficulty hearing Royce's actual words at times. Royce has been spitting nothing but fire lately, and if he keeps it up, I think I might just have to cop Success Is Certain (the autographed edition, for the Slaughterhouse Stan in me). I'm also kinda glad Eminem was only on the hook....*ducks*

Also, I've been meaning to post this. A verse by Nicki Minaj dissing Lil' Kim leaked, and it is either supposedly apart of a mixtape dissing Lil' Kim, or Tha Carter IV (which is more than likely). The beat is by Hit-Boy and it goes hard. Not only that, but Nicki kills Kim in just 1 verse. I thought Lil' Kim's Black Friday track was dope too (even though the mixtape was trash). But this verse is just too much. If only Nicki rapped like this more often.

Royce Da 5'9 ft Eminem - Writers Block

I don't think I've heard Royce ever sound that aggressive on a track...It's dope.

siiiiiiick. after hearing Royce on Living Proof, he's gotta be my favourite modern rapper.

and the Nicki Minaj verse; honestly? she sounds like a female Lil Wayne impersonator. I really cant stand how she laces a few simplistic words together and calls it rapping? she can hide behind the 'I'm female' cloak if she wishes when sh*t hits the fan, but she should stop making dumbass noises and actually rap.

Damn, I actually like Nicki's verse, but to each their own. Although she ain't sh*t on a lot of female rappers out there obviously (Jean Grae, Invincible, K. Flay, etc) .

I've been following Game religiously since the leaks & Red Nation. For a while the word on the web was that every hip-hop blogger this side of the galaxy had a Game track featuring Chris Brown called Pot of Gold. Koolo was going to leak it until Game talked to him. Even EastExclusives was mentioning that he was going to leak it in a few days, although looking at his Twitter page, the guy seems like a complete immature dickhead. With some of the stuff he says being merely for the attention. 1500 or Nothin' who produced the track kept tweeting that a track called Only One leaked, even though it didn't. This was a few days back, and now 1500 or Nothin' has leaked it on YouTube, so I presume it is going to be a leftover track. It is a pretty nice track though. Nice beat, cool piano. It is now known as Only One. Chris Brown was also apparently apart of another R.E.D. track called L.O.V.E (Let Our Violence End), but then Ciara replaced him. I don't know if this was originally Pot of Gold, only time will tell.

Yeah that koolo guy is a dick for leaking alot of the stuff he has but thanks to him its safe to say i'm not copping Detox. But I had to laugh at Slim Da Mobsters responses to the leaks koolo basically ripped the sh*t out of him.

As for Game I hope he can keep consistent with his material he seems to do his best on Cool N Dre, 1500 Or Nothin Beats and a couple of others but the stuff hes done with the Neptunes have been awful.

Has anybody checked out Snoops new album out fully? I've heard some of the stuff and found myself a lot more impressed than I was when Ego Trippin and Malice came out.

I've heard a few joints from Snoop's new album, and I'm pretty impressed, although I read the review by HipHopDX and the impression I got was that it was hit and miss, and it lacked cohesion. Although the majority of the writers/editors at HipHopDX suck, the amount of reporting mistakes they have, as well as their poor writing abilities makes me sigh in disbelief. They recently reported on the singer of La Roux mentioning Dre sampling a remix of the group's Bulletproof track, which many will know was on Game's Purp & Patron, produced by Cool N' Dre. The writer misread it as Dr. Dre and Detox, and it is a shame, because many of the readers won't know that. Anyway, I'm rambling. My favourite track I've heard so far on Doggumentary (I haven't heard all of it) is the Gorillaz produced track:

I love the hook:

You may also be interested to know that 1500 or Nothin' is co-executive producing R.E.D, with Pharell and Dr.Dre at the helm. But apparently the word is that the Neptunes beats are among the highlights. I wouldn't be surprised if Cool N' Dre get co-executive credits as well, as Game has been working with them on a lot of tracks, and they have an amazing track record together. Additionally, Koolo got shut down as well you may be pleased to know. He said he was taking a break, but then his Twitter went down, and eventually so did the StudioLeaks site. He was going to leak Kanye West's Mamma's Boyfriend as well.

I very much doubt Wiz Khalifa had any part of the sampling process. It annoys me that many people somehow think that every vocal artist also controls the composition and production side. If that was the case, we'd have some extremely talented and independent artists in our industry in vast quantities. The logic is even stranger when assuming that somehow 'every' singer/rapper is going to magically know how to make compositions and instrumentation off the bat. Believe me, (decent/competent) music production is a steep learning curve. If it wasn't, there would be a whole bunch more of random hacks making music (but then again, they would have to be able to sing/rap first, wouldn't they? *sarcasm*). Stop praising artists for sh*t they didn't do. Thank Kajmir Royale the f*cking producer for making the beat; not Wiz, jeez.

For some strange reason, I didn't think of that when I first found out about that song. I've known about Kajmir Royale's beats for a while, and I think he's a great producer.
