Has there been a more precise date on Detox since the " in a couple of months" thingy?

Sources are saying February 2011....So yeah still in a couple of months. It's plausible this time though since the first single has been officially released and the music video is on the way ('Kush') If I don't see Detox heavily promoted everywhere soon it'll fall flat with an early 2011 release. People outside the hip hop head community have probably forgotten who Dr.Dre is.

It's so extremely overrated, it's actually quite a bland album. I'll never quite understand why Kanye gets so much praise... oh well opinions.

It seems some are in a generous as of late. With Jay Rock releasing a new mixtape here, and Statik Selektah & Termanology gives us the 1982 EP here, for good measure. But look who isn't in a good mood:

 

 

 

It's actually alright. Dope beat, which is from

. Pretty good lyrics also, but there is some filler (but most diss-tracks do). It could have been a little better, but it was more than I was expecting from Kim. It could be interesting to see how this [beef] pans out. Argument wise, I would have to take Nicki Minaj's side, but in the case of 'Hip-Hop beef', I'm neutral. I was expecting to hear a terrible thought out reply from Kim, but she proved me wrong. Probably her first good track for some time.

 

In other news, I received My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy (deluxe edition with the Runaway film) yesterday. I should be listening to it tomorrow. Surprisingly the cover it arrived in is indeed the original of him and the phoenix, uncensored no less (it was previously reported that the image was going to be blurred). I don't know if the same applies with American retailers, but I'm glad that it isn't censored, here at least (or maybe it's an online thing?).

Slaughterhouse EP on the way.

 

I almost sh*t myself when I read the heading, but it turns out the majority of the tracks have already been heard. One is unheard, and one is unnamed. Still, I can't wait to hear Wack MCs in CDQ through the speakers. How they could ignore Woodstock again though, is beyond me. It's a crime. Warriors and We Outta Here from Royce's last EP and LP respectively, should also be on there. Maybe Slaughterhouse from the Halfway House mixtape by Joe Budden too. Oh and Onslaught. Now that would be a great EP. It's probably E1 milking off of Slaughterhouse, and Slaughterhouse using it as a way to get out of their contract. Still, I will be getting it.

 

UPDATE: Budden reveals that the tracklist floating around is incorrect, and that there will be more new songs: Tweet.

So happy to read that The Roots have a Grammy nomination for Best Rap Album. As much as I like seeing Eminem win as many awards as possible, I hope he loses out this time..Saying 'The Grammy Award winning album 'How I Got Over' by The Roots' has a nice ring to it.... It's unlikely though because I don't think there's been a year (Maybe Encore?) where Eminem's lost in that category.

It works better than I had it imagined. Michael sounds amazing as usual. 50 Cent's jsut a small part of the song and doesn't interrupt MJ in his element like Akon does.
