kippers that Cee Lo, f*ck You had me in stitches, he's got insane talent on every front.

This is true, but then 50 Cents has to come along and add his 2 pennys

50 Cent - f*ck You Freestyle

Can't quite decide if Cee Lo's genius has been totally ruined or not yet. Not that 50 sounds bad, but now the general public are more likely to hear this version and start thinking it's a 50 Cent song despite only giving himself a small verse at the start confused.gif

I may be a little disappointed but it might not come out as bad as you could think.

Well Raekwon has already done his verse, I believe it is for a Justin Beiber track and not for a Kanye or Raekwon related project. I think it was a remix of sorts? Not sure, but I know 'Ye was meant to drop a Justin Beiber remix the same day as the Power Remix.

Not to bust your balls, but I posted about this two pages ago monocle.gif .

Also, that Black Milk joint is crazy.

Nice to see Kid Vishis get some exposure here and there, although very small.

Yeeeaaa..y'all know by now 50 ain't necessarily my favorite but I never go out of my way to bag on him he's good with a punchline but that weak verse added nothing to the song if anything it sounded kinda like a sideways diss towards Cee Lo since his verse was from the perspective of the guy who's taken the girl from Cee Lo's character and it really just sounded kinda rushed and half hearted against the track.

More music?

More music.

I found this Eazy track just now and I don't have a f*cking clue why I haven't heard it before. It definitely is by far, my favorite Eazy E joint.

Gantons Most Wanted

Its a shame that even with the major label deals they both have had to date for about 5 years exposure that they still haven't dropped a proper album.

Hey can anybody tell me where this instrumental is originally from? I think it was Allyah but I can't remember TBH.

The video came in for this one. Nothing like some Bun B.

I don't see anything sh*tty about those rhymes? Both versions sound great.

It's all right, I would say the Camp Lo's original version was lyrically running circles around Miller but he didn't butcher it. When Curren$y f*cked off on this track by them I was pissed the f*ck off by that wack ass sh*t.

sick track

sorry for double posting.

i heard a rumor that jay z was originally given the beat but he didnt want it.

The Enrique track leads me to presume you're being an arrogant sarcastic prick. Because on the other hand the Tightrope track leads me to believe otherwise, because it is a good track. Groovy beat, and strong performances by three talented artists. But I'm going to presume the latter.

The thing I hate more than the people that by into a lot of the half-assed music on the radio nowadays, is those that think one era, genre, style of music is the end all and be all. And that anything modern = terrible. Stop being shortsighted, because I can't really take your weightless unfounded opinion seriously if you think one type of music is the only good form music out there. Such statements are ludicrous. Sure, there is a load of 'garbage' out nowadays, but it's the people to blame, not the music. In all honesty Hip-Hop nowadays still is great, despite the misconceptions. The same goes for the music industry as whole. I believe there are many Hip-Hop artists in today's era that can rap circles around some of the best Hip-Hop artists from the 90's. Believe what you want.

Dope Hip-Hop after the 90's!? Blasphemy!

As for the recent tracks posted, nice to see some stuff note in the 'norm' being posted. Really helps my knowledge and back catalogue grow. Anyway, Kat Stacks is at it again, this time 'exposing' Soulja Boy. Showing cocaine in his household, whether it's his or hers (or both) is not known. But still they're both as idiotic and shameful as each other. Not usually into the drama and gossip, but some of you may find it amusing: Link

Finally: Eminem's still breaking records

I don't think Em's going to have much problem beating out Lady Antebellum (Personally never heard of her) for the top selling album of the year. And being this late into it, possibly stay there for the remainder of it! Although I see Lil Wayne's first post-prison album being competition.

Em - 2.2 mil

Lady Antebellum - 2.5 mil

At this current rate, he only needs 3 more weeks. It's simply insanity that Recovery hasn't dipped under 100,000 since release.

One comment on RapRadar made a point that I agree (with a little sting in my heart) with. It's not (all) hip hop heads buying Recovery anymore. Bah pop influences.

No criticism of the album, but if you think at any point it was all heads buying that album you are insane, there have been a huge amount of people who listen to eminem but no, or virtually no, other hip hop for over a decade now.

Yea man, I'd say that's easily true. You can turn to Alternative "The Buzz" type rock stations and hear them bumping Eminem and the Beastie Boys to this day but you will never hear a black rock inspired album playing like Mos Def's The New Danger or BlakRoc. Not that I dislike either of them but it's obvious the majority of the buyers market is biased in that it wants to celebrate and support it's own (race).

Hey I don't know if anyone remembers that Spider Loc dude who used to rap on Death Row and then got with g unit honestly that dude used to have some decent stuff. Like that Ras Kass track he did for his Bangadoshis mixtape. Speaking of Ras has anybody checked out that A.D.D.I.D.A.S lp? it was pretty inovative what he did to sort of create he had people donate money to studio time then once he reached the financial target he started making the album and anyone who contributed got a free copy.

I haven't heard Ras Kass' new LP myself yet personally, but I've heard it's very good. Speaking on the way he raised the money, Public Enemy is doing the same thing for their next album. However their luck hasn't been so kind. They've been using the same process for a while now, and I think they even had to lower the amount they was looking for because there wasn't enough interest for sufficient funds.

For those that haven't heard, the Red Bull:EmSee battle finales took place recently. Here is the final battle in the form of two videos [1 + 2]. Finally, here is a earlier/alternative version of Who Dat. Completely different beat, but some lyrical similarities. Very good nonetheless.

So I've normally avoided rap at all costs, mainly because previous experience has been of the MTV "lol look at our cars 'n' hos yo" variety and nothing with any substance. I heard Franti & Spearhead's 'Rock the Nation' a few days ago and have had second thoughts about avoiding all rap... anyone that'd care to introduce me to anything similar to this, or anything as good as it?

@Logic: I just quickly checked out Franti & Spearhead to see what you really wanted. I'd suggest K'Naan musically is a good bet. Sounds like your looking for Rap that has some sentimentality to it. If that's the case you should check out the likes of Immortal Technique, Joe Budden, J.Cole, Atmosphere and CunningLynguists. There's too many to list. You can't go wrong with most of the song posted here either. wink.gif

In other news, Kanye West is keeping his word on supplying new content every Friday. Here is a track from a new 5 song EP by Kanye West & Jay-Z [there was a snippet of this out a few months back]:

Finally another good verse from Minaj.

Incredibly impressed with Minaj. Now if she just kept doing that she's be a good addition to hip hop....But she won't.

Why is Ross even there?

Sick track. Yeah ross pretty much just called himself fat and that was it, wtf? Minaj can rap when she wants to, like her verse from the BET cypher was dope. Kinda hope her debut album is decent.
