I've got to admit that even though of course I don't understand the lyrics, their presence and flow not only sounds good, but the beat is dope too. I think I caught a few lyrics though, including something about pussy lips? I'd love the instrumental of that.

 

Rappers, if you're gonna brag, do it right. Put some effort into it and show you have a right to do so. Like Common on this (which I've posted before) "They say Hip-Hip is dead, I'm hear to resurrect ME", that right their is dope. Common kills the whole track:

 

 

 

 

I think I've also posted that too, but I'm in a Kanye West mood. That is my favourite track from 808s. I like it because you can hear genuine emotion in his voice on this, and you don't get that much in rappers nowadays. The lyrics are dope too. "I turn on the TV and see me, and see nothing"

What's going on with Charles Hamilton?

 

One week he's signed into a mental hospital and now he's become confined to a wheelchair. Man seems to be going from bad to worse in the shortest time possible.

 

 

I hope he recovers, could potentially be one of the biggest missed opportunities in hip hop in recent years (in my opinion) if that wheelchair thing turns out to be something serious; It'll stop him from promotion and touring any material.

Get 'Em High has to be in my top 3 from College Dropout, Kanye is dope on it, beat is fire, Talib does his thang and Common murders it!

I also like how he flows somewhat slowly in the beginning, then after a few lines he is most definetly on fire.

Usually, when it's Kanye and a few other G.O.O.D artists, that sh*t is fire.

 

I'm sad to hear from Charles Hamilton, because even though he lost much rep in that video where the girl smacked him, I always liked how he rapped on his own beats, I respect that a lot. To be honest, I never listened to as much of him that I was supposed to, but I'll do it sometime.

Just finished listening to it. It is pretty solid. Quite like where he went with it at 12:40-ish, though he should have stopped before 20 minutes, he seemed to get really bored and started rocking back and forth in his wheelchair really impatiently. 20+ minutes and I don't recall him mentioning Sonic once lol.

It's an amazing feeling when you wake up to some great music. New Cee-Lo and finally the Power remix. Firstly, that Cee-Lo joint is nothing short of amazing. There's something wrong with the world if that track doesn't get serious burn form all the big radio stations (of which it won't). For the Power remix, Kanye really went off one. Hov did pretty good too, but he didn't really have a verse per-say (with the actual verse having a lot of effects over it), so it didn't have as much of an effect. I prefer the original beat, but this one switches up more which is a bonus. Especially at the end with the final verse. The [Kanye] verses should be added to the original.

Those Miller joints were pretty good, I haven't really listened to many of his tracks though. I might have to download the K.I.D.S mixtape before making any judgement.

I know its like nearly a year old now but recently since Raekwon has released the Gold Edition of Only Built For Cuban Linx II its been on heavy rotation on my MP4 Player and Stereo. The Bonuses look pretty good so far i've heard the OG About Me that featured Game it was pretty dope but its got some differences to the beat compared to the album version.

It's all right, I would say the Camp Lo's original version was lyrically running circles around Miller but he didn't butcher it. When Curren$y f*cked off on this track by them I was pissed the f*ck off by that wack ass sh*t.

 

 

 

A lot of great tracks in the last 2 pages. Those Laws and Sean Price tracks posted by Eduard were def on point. Diggin that Power remix Brandon linked to, though I do like the original a lot. kippers that Cee Lo, f*ck You had me in stitches, he's got insane talent on every front. Nice to see some love for the Wu as well with tracks by Raekwon, Inspectah and GZA coming through. Yelawolf killed that Slick Rick impersonation and those new Lupe tracks were going on.
