EDIT: Can't stop listening. This sh*t is dope. This song brought a smile to my face. The Slim Shady like arrogance and exuberance, too many punchlines too count and a crazy hot beat by Khalil! Man, this is a track.

Pretty dope tune. the beat's not what I expected at all on the album and took my by surprise. It's growing on me and the wordplay is crazy in this one; he really just goes for it. I don't find it particularly catchy though. Can't see it being one i'll be playing loads in 10 years from now, but hot for now. But then...Without that rocky beat, a Pink chorus would never work..

Just thought how sad and strange it is to see Em performing live without Proof in the background as his wingman and backup vocals, I don't even know who that big dude is.

 

New songs kinda "ehhh" for me, they've been playing it on the radio a lot lately with that Shooting Stars song with Pink or whatever and again, "meh".

I have a 15 minute version of that Jay Electronica joint on my iTunes. However, the nine minute version you see there was the longest I could find on YouTube. It's pretty much the same, though.

 

 

Now, don't call me a hater here, I'm just providing my input. I haven't been feelin' Eminem for a while now, probably since 2002, when The Eminem Show dropped. I did not like Relapse. I understand, he was trying something different, trying to evolve and show a new side of himself. However, I just couldn't really get into the tracks. His flow seemed a little off to me compared to his prime, and I thought that the "accents," I guess you could call them, were a little overdone. I listened to this new track, Won't Back Down, the other day and still wasn't feelin' it. I didn't really like the beat too much and thought he was kinda yelling over the beat instead of just flowing over it. There's no denying that he will have some good lines on his tracks, however, it's pretty useless, to me at least, if the flow's not there. I'm nowhere near the biggest Eminem fan. I'm a casual fan of Eminem, so I can't comment on everything he's done, such as production, mixtapes and lesser known tracks on his albums. But, this is just from my observations and comparisons to older tracks.

I haven't been enjoying Weezy since Tha Carter III, all of his stuff has been gay since, but now he's in jail, his songs are more street again. I guess he'll get raped if he makes gay songs ( ). I'm not complaining. This one's little over a week old and you probably know it but I'm really lovin' it.

Damn, talk about smashing a track. Over 8 minutes long. Royce's verses are from Bar Exam3 however. Someone asked who Mr.Porter is a while back, well he's Eminem's hype man and also apart of D-12. I remember there was talk about Eminem and D-12 a while back, and how Eminem was 'sleeping' on D-12. Well really D-12 was Proof's group. But if it wans't for Eminem, would they have been that commercially successful in the first place? I don't see how Eminem is at fault because they haven't released an album in a while. Like they depend on Eminem, they shouldn't have too. he isn't the 'group front-man'. They even released mixtapes without him. Why should it be Eminem's fault? He has a huge solo career, so of course that will come first.

Recovery is wack as f*ck, he gave in to those generic sounding mainstream rap beats of today rather than teaming up with dr dre to make bangin ass songs. I like the lyrics but on some tracks he sounds a lil too pissed off . But going through changes and so bad are my fav off the album; not feeling any other song.
