Basically the entire 'Enter The Wu Tang (36 Chambers)' album. Including;

Bring The Ruckus

Shame on a Nigga

7th Chamber

Can It Be So Simple?

Da Mystery of Chessboxin'

CREAM

Protect Ya Neck

Tearz

7th Chamber Part 2

f*ck, the entire album is near flawless in my opinion. I can't narrow down individual songs. If you don't like that album, just give up trying to like them lol tounge.gif (slightly bias)

Also 'Triumph' 'Impossible' and 'The Projects' from 'Wu Tang Forever' Come to mind as good'uns.

I actually havn't heard any Wu Tang material past their 2nd album ph34r.gif

Sure people will come up with a more definitive list for you lol

I love Once Upon a Time in the Projects. Cube has great story-telling skills. Definitely one of the best non-Slick Rick storytellers.

Thanks for the suggestions Kippers, I'm already loving Wu Tang Clan.

Now, on the topic of making raps, I want to get a career as a rapper but most likely will never happen, still, if I was to become a rapper, I know what I'd call myself, Elite Teen but anyways, I'll just stick to writing raps.

Obviously Slick Rick is the number one choice. Just get "The Great Adventures of Slick Rick" and enjoy a full album of stories. Other good storytellers include Ice Cube, Kool Moe Dee, Kool G Rap (get Live and Let Die, definition of mafioso hip hop), Biggie.

Jsut been doing a whole load of research ofr my next year of College where we get to make a music video and came across this one amde by one of the old students a few years back...

(Farking youtube thing wasn't working for the video)

For a College production I think it looks pretty good. I'm slightly iffy about that filter he uses all the way through the video but some time sit works, other times it's an eyesore. Camera angles and such look pretty professional.

What's ya'll opinions? (On the video not the song) or the song as well. It's kind ameh

I've always thought Nas had some good storytelling talent after listening to Rewind. But it seems like he hasn't used it that much.

I've been listening to Slaughterhouse and ICP's Bang Pow Boom back-to-back, it's just pure dope and it makes me wish that ICP does a collab with Slaughterhouse although that will most likely never happened, still one can dream.

2Pac is overrated.

He gets overrated by the majority, but then again, you are underrating him. What's with everyone? He either gets underrated (by those who say he plain sucks with no reason) or overrated (him nd byggie b3st rappaz evah!!!111).

Pac is top 10 material but he is not close to the best rapper ever. Not in my opinion anyways. I used to say he's the best a while back but then I started listening to brag rap with lyrics that's just to take out 'sucker' MCs and grew tired of emotional music.

Don't forget 2nd Childhood. I'm quite shocked Atmosphere hasn't been brought up in this discussion, Slug is after all, the best at story telling:

Damn, the new KRS & Buckshot album is DOPE! Survival Skills, recommend it to anyone who claims to like proper hip hop. Also M.O.P.'s Foundation. Two albums of the year, this month has been awesome!

To keep the real hip hop heads happy:

A remix I found of the classic with R Kelly, matched it with the original video.

Just a pic of all the albums I've bought this year, just to show I actually do buy the CDs and not just claim I do lol.gif . Some old, some new. Funnily enough, my local HMV has a really good Rap/R'n'B section (although there's only like 5 R'nB albums there bored.gif ) right at the back of the store. They have albums from all generations. Problem is that there's loads of albums but they're not sorted in any order, which pisses me off. So if I'm looking for a specific album from say 2pac, then I'll have to look through a dozen rows just to find him. I'll be going there more often now to try and get some more old-skool albums. Although it's a complete rip off seeing as they still charge full price for the majority of the albums. The pricing is weird as well, The Game's LAX album which was out last year is part of a 2 for £10 deal, whereas The Documentary which came out way back in 06 is £10 by itself. They probably put the price up on older albums because they don't sell as much suicidal.gif .

Anyway enough of my rambling:

This track never gets old. Pre-Dre verse with Post Dre beat = a great track.

And some new Ice Cube; loving the rock instrumental:

Nice collection. I'll definitely buy all albums I have loved when I'm in the perfect situation for it.

Underrated classic:

Thanks man. I love Chuck D, and KRS One ever since I started listening to him. I need to listen to more Kool Moe Dee, heard some good things about him, although I think I've heard some if his stuff before, but that was a while ago now. Nevertheless, sweet track.

I'm gonna have a look out for the new KRS one & Buckshot album as well, I haven't seen it anywhere yet. Although there's some leaks on the net, so I might have a few listens.

Yeah, Flesh told me the same thing practically over on YT. You guys wouldn't be the first either. I should being going music Uni next year to take up Music Producing, so I can learn how to make beats. I actually did try recording over some beats, but the home mic quality is really bad and doesn't work well.

I'm working on some side projects like my site at the mo, but when they're done, I'm gonna try and educate my self at home and make some basic beats and whatnot, then maybe I'll go to a studio and do some recording time or something. It will be a long time until I have full quality (mastered) tracks with beats (etc). But hopefully I will get there at some point lol.gif

Anyway, thanks icon14.gif .
