Joe Budden made the wrong move by dissing Method Man. He recently dissed Prodigy too but he deserves it anyways.

Maybe I should have added the usual "IMO" which I forgot. But you clearly know what I meant, right? Plus I'm not the only one who thinks so.

Dj premier is one of the greatest DJ's of all time and he's favored by a large majority of old-school rap fans. But Diplo and DJ Premier have no where near the same style, so they're un-comparable.

Blaq Poet.

What's with him? A couple of weeks ago his album dropped. Listened to it and loved it. Premo's production plays a big part though but Poet lyrically doesn't disappoint either.

No dates near me, save maybe the Vancouver one. But no concert is worth a drive that long in all honesty.

So now it's the Wu vs. Slaughterhouse? I love Crooked and Royce, but they can't touch Wu-Tang.

So I've been freestyling/rapping for a while now, but whenever I've tried recording stuff, I've never liked it. So I was doing a Radio over Skype for the GTAF clan I'm in (The Exiles) and decided to do a freestyle on the radio. The guys liked it so I uploaded it to YouTube. I thought, who better than to criticize me, than you guys who are very into Hip-Hop/rap. Excuse the bad quality (fuzzy feedback), that's due to the upload quality:

Feel free to rip me a new one tounge2.gif . But seriously, I'd appreciated it if you commented on it. Where am I going wrong, what can I improve, and the such. This was a freestlye straight from the dome BTW.

[RATE&SUBSCRIBE if you liked it]

Thanks.......

EDIT: Oh, and the lyrics are in the description.

Sweet. I've been writing tons of rhyme lately and posting them on Facebook and some day I hope to make them into actual songs.

Hip-Hop Cash Kings 2009 (Top 20 Hip Hop Earners)

After attending the NBA Draft in June, Jay-Z threw a party at his 40/40 Club in midtown Manhattan, carousing into the wee hours of the morning with the likes of LeBron James and Spike Lee. Not bad for a guy who took a 57% pay cut this year.

The Brooklyn-born rapper pulled in an estimated $35 million over the past 12 months, topping our annual list of Hip-Hop Cash Kings. It's far from the $82 million he made last year, but more than enough to reclaim the crown from 2008's monarch, 50 Cent. The Queens native drops to fourth place with $20 million, down from $150 million a year ago.

Both rappers had a hard time living up to prior yearly totals fattened by one-time mega-deals. For 50, it was a $100 million windfall from the sale of his stake in VitaminWater parent Glacéau to Coca-Cola  ( KO -  news  -  people ); for Jay-Z, a front-loaded $150 million deal with concert promoter Live Nation  ( LYV -  news  -  people ).

"The timing of Jay's deal couldn't have been more perfect," says singer-songwriter-producer Akon, fourth on this year's list. "Those numbers aren't going to be flying around anymore."

Last year, the top 20 Hip-Hop Cash Kings made $500 million; this year they made $300 million, a 40% drop. 50 Cent's VitaminWater stake was responsible for one-fifth of the total take last year. Its absence accounts for half of hip-hop's year-over-year decline. Similarly, concert promoters have stopped pursing big "360" deals like the one signed by Jay-Z and LiveNation last year. "Those deals are pretty much done for now," says Chris White, an entertainment analyst at Wedbush Morgan Securities.

Jay-Z - 35 Million

Diddy - 30 Million

Kanye West - 25 Million

50 Cent - 20 Million

Akon - 20 Million

Lil Wayne - 18 Million

Timbaland - 17 Million

Pharrell - 16 Million

T-Pain - 15 Million

Eminem - 14 Million

Dr.Dre - 13 Million

Snoop Dogg - 11 Million

Ludacris - 10 Million

Common - 8 Million

Will.I.Am - 8 Million

T.I. - 8 Million

Swizz Beatz - 8 Million

Andre 3000 - 7 Million

Big Boi- 7 Million

Flo-Rida - 6 Million

Rick Ross - 6 Million

The Game - 6 Million

Young Jeezy- 6 Million

Blew me right away that 50 only made 20 million this year.

Seeing as how he made 150 million last year...

Losing 130 million isn't just something you don't notice.

Well I didn't know that. Speaking of which keeping up with what a rapper makes as far as profit is trivial. You should be more concerned with keeping up with their music which is why you have so many people now-a-days comparing rappers on a profit, record sale basis rather than who is more talented. In an ideal world, the truly talented artists would be making the most money. From a realistic stand point, rappers who corporations pay to have radio stations and djs say they are the "best" are making the most money. To repeat a question from KRS: Why is that?

OH MY GOD! HE LIVES!!

My ears have been waiting for a new Rakim track for a very, very long time. I'll edit with my verdict: D-d-d-dope. Definitely didn't disappoint, that track is hot. inlove.gif

edit: Oh my me, new Slaughterhouse film clip!

I really hope that becomes true. Some really hot releases already out there like the Blaqprint by Blaq Poet and the Alchemist album. Then we have Rakim, Slaughterhouse, Royce etc... on their way to make a release.

This year will be hip hop's return to form. I'm glad to finally get to witness a good year in music. Because for all the years I have followed music most of it has just had mediocre albums out by boring musicians.

Anybody here has listened to J. Cole? He is the first rapper Jay's signed for his new label and I think he's pretty good.

If their is anyone who is up to date on their music, it's me.

I'm always looking for the latest tracks. I was just pointing out the fact that those who don't see any sort of recession can clearly see it in the rap game. Even Jay-Z lost 30% of what he made last year.

And the numbers do tell what people listen to and what is popular, the entire list of what rappers made were from album sales, music videos, ringtones, ticket sales from tours and own personal assets such as clothing lines and restaurants.

I'm just saying, 50 made a sh*t load of money last year from selling his stakes in vitamin water and from the sale of his album Curtis.

The numbers never lie.

Game is such a Bi-polar rapper. Why people still listen to his music is beyond me. To me an emcee is someone who can artistically be more than were they came from. All Game raps about is West Coast s***. He has a cool track here and there, but overall you can expect low-riders, old english, and Cali Bud. You can't put out a million diss tracks on someone, then apologize out of the blue. Game was on Jay-Z **** when The Documentary came out, but now he wanna diss him. He'll be apologizing to Jay in a couple a months.

Anyway, here's a couple of tracks from one of my Xbox Live friends Asa Thibs. He isn't looking to get into the music industry, but he's real creative. He has a great flow, but he's more into Comedy. He's real big on YouTube. So tell me what you think of his music, cause i've been telling him it's great.

Those numbers tell what is popular now what is necessarily good. Listening to Britney Spears was at one time popular but was it necessarily good music?

Yeah, The Game has a strange mindset. I don't really know what he's trying to prove with this Jay-Z beef. I guess he feels he can't go on without dissing another profilic rapper.

His stuff does tend to get repetitive, but I enjoy it - still better than other craptacular mainstream rappers like Flo-rida and Gucci Mane suicidal.gif .

Probably got that from the film roles he's been in, like Street Kings, Wanted and Terminator Salvation, plus his 'Universal Mind Control' album. He's actually a pretty good actor.
