Soulja Boy's music for making some music newbie or little kid dance is good but otherwise for anybody who listens to music for other reasons rather than clubbing then it's completely awful.

It doesn't f*cking go that way.

That video you posted has some pretty good names worth giving a shot.

Aside from the known Dr Dre, Eazy-E and Snoop stuff, there's the less known names you can also see in the video like Foesum and Twinz. Try out Mac Mall, Above the Law, Sicx, Brotha Lynch Hung, Spice 1, Tweedy Bird Loc also.

I know Snoop, Dre and the ones related.

But I actually thought you would post some videos of good tracks.

Really I don't like those wannabe gangsters, a perfect example is Soulja Boy. What the f*ck does that guy think he is doing? bored.gif Just go and watch some MTV and you will find him. Makes me so f*cking pissed, what's the deal with that sh*t? Gays like him are killing hiphop. The real rappers are: Snoop, Dre, Pac and Biggie etc.

Or more emotionally rap could be heard in e.g Eminems songs.

Welcome to the club. Just ignore Soulja Dick and listen to some real rap/hip hop,

Atmosphere released another one of their free EPs last night. The only track I like is the one about drugs/alcohol, however.

Listening to it now, good to hear something new seeing as it's been like a year?

Need to catch up, that Alchemist album sounds dope.

Everyone should love it. P is a monster. Can't wait for Kimbo Price or Mic Tyson.

Rising to the Top is still my fave, memories of GTA3. This is close though:

I only have Monkey Barz from his albums. I might get Jesus Price Superstar too though.

And Boom, Bye Yeah! is my favorite song from him.

Damn, I'm surprised with Eminem's Beautiful video. I figured it would be really corny, but it actually was pretty well done. Doesn't fit the context of the lyrics necessarily, but more like the overall message. Nice job, Em. icon14.gif

"Jimmy always says, 'Man, I told you guys not to break up the Beatles. He says he told John Lennon the same thing a long time ago. But I was young, man. I was dumb. I did a lot of dumb things. I felt me and 50 clashed. I'm not gonna dis 50. I'm not gonna go back on the plane. He had his side, I had my side. I did what I felt was necessary for me and my career to have longevity and survive in hip-hop and music to be around when I'm Quincy Jones' age — not just be Quincy Jones' age, but be a Quincy Jones. Now, four albums in, I can honestly say from Banks to Buck to Dre to Yayo to whoever, if it would have kept going, endless paper. Millions of albums sold — because we were great together. Me and 50's chemistry was like how Method Man was to Redman when they get in. You know when Method Man gets with Redman, it's going down."

He did all that talk and what he was gonna do, lol. Now, (like Buck) "I'm sorry, man, please, man, please" HAHAHAHA.

He didn't say anything that shows he doesn't understand the song. I feel the same as beanmach, the video really has nothing to do with what the song is actually about, but it still fits quite nicely somehow.

On an unrelated note, I wonder what Relapse 2 is going to be like.

The new meaning for the video; the 'Beautiful' being in reference to Detroit and the destruction of it's old landmarks, would explain why the 3rd verse is completely absent from the video. He can't really relate it to Detroit becuase the lyrics are far too personal.

It's a shame, but I thought it was rather clever of him to find a second meaning. That's one reason why I respect Eminem so much. he never raps about fancy cars and the money he has (like 50 cent) and even at the tip of his career he kept giving respect to Detroit and where he grew up icon14.gif

Diplo - "Shake it over and over"

f*ck I love Diplo. I think he's the greatest DJ on the planet. He's mixed two songs "Shake it" - Pitbull and a great song "Over and Over" - Hot Chip. I love most of his songs, including the songs in the duo he made with Switch (Major Lazer). I'm not planning on posting most of his stuff here and sharing because I'm not sure it's the kind of Hip-hop regularly posted here.

The best DJ on the planet is Premier. No one can/could/will ever take him in any way. I may sound biased but so many people would agree with this that you would think it's a fact...
