New Mos Def album is suprisingly awesome, wasn't expecting it to be that good but it is.

To be honest I didn't like new Mos. Only a couple of songs stand out for me, that one above is one of them along with Casa Bey, Pretty Danger and Pistola.

That's dope. I never thought anyone would use some of Madlib's Beat Konducta in India beats (although Guilty Simpson did use 'Freeze'). Yet the beat for that just flows so well with Mos.

I'm not a huge fan of rap but there are a few songs which I love or are just classic.

I'm obsessed with Gang Starr currently and that's one of their best songs. Legends, what better than a rapper as skillful as Guru and the best producer and DJ ever (in hip hop at least)... Premo?

I love this beat but I think Greg Nice is so corny in the first verse. But Guru and Smooth kill it after him. The beat is so dope.

 

I been going back into my De La Soul collection. This is a classic.

 

 

 

Even though people paid little attention to them (except for music journalist and hardcore fans) after 3 Feet High and Rising I think they are one of the greatest groups. They constantly have re-invented themselves time and time again. De La Soul is probably in the top ten of all time Hip-Hop groups.

Let's hope that was just a test track although it appears on his album "Lost and Found". I was just listening to You Know My Steez yesterday and looking at the comments. Then someone said even Guru has gone into making whack stuff and directed the fans to this song, I searched for it and when I listened to the song I was really surprised.

 

I really hope this is not the end, Premo needs to come and save Guru's career from falling.

Today I decided to write my Rap/Hip Hop song, called Fall of the game. Basically it's supposed to be about the decline of Rap/Hip Hop and it also contains some anti-corporal lyrics and it also has a dis aimed at Lil Wayne, Soulja Boy, 50 Cent, Flo Rida and Asher Roth. Hopefully I can post it here when I'm done fixing up a little bit.
