GOODNESS f*ckING GRACIOUS SLAMMAN!

Don't bring your bullsh*t here, we've already had some massive flamewars in this topic and we don't want another.

Rap is certainly not crap, but I won't get into that argument because fanboys like you just don't f*cking learn. Even if someone presents the world's best argument ever saying rap is better than other genres, fanboys like you would just cover it up with bullsh*t just to make yourself feel good. That said, there are no genres which are "better" than another. It's a matter of taste and personal preference.

Things like this make me glad that rap (even the commercial stuff) is more popular than rock and metal on the media. Why? Because I love seeing these sh*thead fanboys being pissed off.

If you don't like rap, it's perfectly fine, but don't come into the rap topic and try to start sh*t. You're not welcome here.

Yeah Slamman, get out of here. God Metalheads, they just gotta know how to piss you off, I mean why can't they just leave us Rap/Hip Hop fans alone and go listen to Slipknot or AC/DC or whatever the hell Metalheads are into.

But back to the topic of Rap/Hip Hop.

Hahahaha. I'd rather Slamman post his sh*t in here than read crap like that.

And ICP are f*cking horrible.

Damn, Em is making one hell of a comeback. I've been listening to some of his new tracks and they're FIRE! The rhymes made my f*cking jaw drop.

I feel sorry for anyone who chooses to beef with him right now.

Rick Ross was calling Em out recently, it would be amazing if Em did a diss track.

I've been listening to alot of P.O.S. lately, he had a new album this year Never Better but Audition from 2006 is awesome.

Hopefully not, ICP isn't good, at all.

At This Eminem thing: Eminem is defiantly NOT the best, no one is the best since it's all matter of personal opinion. I really don't like him at all. The only thing I like from him was the Marshall Mathers LP & all of his new sh*t like We made you, crack a bottle, 3 AM just annoy the sh*t out of me. Though, I do like 3 A.M. lyrics, especially the silence of the lambs reference.

It's not our fault ICP f*cking sucks, especially considering how the vast majority of people who like them are self hating moronic outcasts with worse taste in music than a ten year old suburban girl who religiously watches Disney Channel coupled with Fox News (present company excluded of course). But that's just my unabridged opinion based entirely on logic and working ears.

Whenever I think of Em I'm always reminded of his Wake Up Show Freestyle, f*cking sick.

I'm soon going to download Relapse. At this moment it's too late but I hope he doesn't let me down. From what I've heard he has done alright.

Relapse

That Christopher Reeves section on 'Medicine Ball' is rather cringy; not liking that song much at all. The 'Paul skit' afterwards makes up for it tho. I laughed out loud lol.gif

So far i'm digging the album. Rather dark. really like 'Stay Wide Awake' and 'Hello' I think it's kind of a mix between the maturity of Eminem Show with signs of SS and MM creeping in there quite frequently, which is always a good thing. Definitely kicks Encore to the curb thus far (half way through)

I wouldn;t say it's an album I'd want to listen too if I were in a particularly good/hyper mood. It's very depressing like. But again, still digging it.

Mr. Mathers onwards is the album highlight for me. tracks 15 through to 20 (2 skits) The middle is fairly weak, which is a shame becuase it ruined an amazing beginning and end.

Can;t wait for the 19th to buy the album smile.gif

I was reading this article about Icp and I got to say a lot of you should read this cause I really think you guys should take this stuff in consideration,

Subject Matter

The thing about ICP is that they are storytellers, more so than they are musicians, and they tap into the very basic emotions that make us human.  Anger, Fear, Lust, Faith, the acts of rebellion and anti-authority.

Anger: Songs about enacting violence against other people.  We’ve all wanted to hurt another person before.  By listening to the violence in music form, the listener is able to have a non violent release.

Fear: There’s also the other angle of violence.  A lot of their music puts the listener in the point of view of someone in a horror movie.  Subject matter ranging from homicidal boogiemen to horrible thunderstorms help to please those people who enjoy being scared.

Lust: Just about every single ICP album has at least one song that glorifies sex.  Say what you want, but sex sells, and it’s because it’s a subject that everyone has an emotional response to.

Faith: Arguably the strongest component of their music, ICP has made a career out of introducing the concept of faith to an entire generation of young people.  Faith is a very basic factor of the human mind, and they have plenty of themes and songs about it.

But Why Do People Hate Them?

ICP’s subject matter is among some of the most complex in the entire industry.  Sometimes it amazes me how many people hate them.  My theory is that the people who hate Insane Clown Posse tend to fall into one of two groups,

The first of which refuse to accept such simple concepts, and dismiss ICP as music for people of low intelligence.

The second group of haters is the one who are turned off by their musical skills, or lack thereof.  Even some of the most dedicated of juggalos (ICP fans) will admit that ICP’s strong points are not their musical talents.

The fact that two so called “talentless” dudes with marginal talent can go on to generate multiple gold and platinum albums and sell out venues coast to coast, may not sit well with some people who are stuck in a 9 to 5 job that they hate.  Not to mention that this hate is usually magnified when these people are, themselves, struggling artists.

I dunno, I like a few of their songs if not for comedic value. Chicken Hunting being one of those songs. ICP are...interesting. Definately not my style but I guess I try to find SOMETHING I like from every artist I don't like.

Yeah some of Icp's songs can be hillarious a times. Bugs on my Nutz was pretty funny.

BTW, which version of Chicken Huntin would that be? The original mix that was on The Ringmaster or the Slaughter House Remix?

Forgive me for this but they remind me a LITTLE bit of Cypress Hill. Just a cartoony version of them.

Relapse is interesting. Couple good tracks here and there, but the last few tracks is definitely where it shines. Underground cracks, and that was really the Shady I was hoping to hear with Proof passing and his alcohol/drug problems.

Hopefully Relapse 2 will end up sounding more like that.

Just listened to Relapse and I think I'll give a few words...

3 AM was alright, a good introduction for Relapse. And shows the slow return of Shady.

My Mom was atrocious. I just COULD NOT listen to that song again even if I was paid to. Just really agitated me.

Insane was a track I actually really liked. Shows that Shady is back and proud.

Bagpipes from Baghdad, Hello, and Same Song and Dance were all mediocre at best. Nothing I'd listen to regularly.

We Made You was just...ugh.

Medicine Ball was a track that I enjoyed. Crafty word play combined with Shady humor. Great song.

Stay Wide Awake and Old Time's Sake were tracks I enjoyed. Added them to my Music Library and really liked them.

Must be the Ganja was another mediocre track. The chorus was the only part I really liked.

Deja Vu and Beautiful were easily two of my favorite tracks on the album (out of three).

Crack A Bottle was another mediocre song. Nothing special, we've all heard it before.

Underground/Ken Kaniff is my third favorite track. Shows that Shady is really back, and he is here to stay.

Overall? It was actually a pretty good album. There were about two tracks that I really hated, but I'm willing to look past em. A lot of 'okay' songs, but then there are songs that are actually really good, making up for those average songs. It was good. I'd say a 7.5/10. icon14.gif

Hopefully Relapse 2 will end up sounding more like that.

yeah, hopefully 'Underground' leads nicely into more darker themes for Relapse 2, becuase Relapse does slowly get a lot more sinister when he cuts that accent off by the end. He's got all the 'funny' songs out the way, now lets get down to business.

Still no mention of Proofs death tho, unless i've missed it whilst listening to the lyrics? And I think this is the first album he hasn't killed Kim in tounge.gif

Out of interest...of the poeple here who have aquired it, who will actually buy it come the 19th? I'm buying it for sure becuase that final quarter deserves all the money icon14.gif

^Smart of him. Why record a track when Marshall can just go right back at him with one? Blog-ranting is going to replace diss tracks altogether soon I'm sure lol.

And there is a Proof mention in Deja Vu, which is the only one I heard. Something about an excuse to use because of his death.

And I will be buying it for sure. After all, I bought Encore, and there were only one or two classic tracks on that one.

Yeah Icp are kind of like a cartoony Cypress Hill, Icp also kinda reminds me of Bone Thugs N Harmony cause they both have pretty dark themes in their songs.

Speaking of ICP, I was just listening to my Marshall Mathers LP album, listening to track 11, "Marshall Mathers". Man I love how he dissed them there. Superb lines:

Plus I was put here to put fear in fa**ots who spray Faygo Root Beer

and call themselves "Clowns" cause they look queer

fa**ot2Dope and Silent Gay

Claimin Detroit, when y'all live twenty miles away

And I don't wrestle, I'll knock you f*ckin fa**ots the f*ck out

Ask 'em about the club they was at when they snuck out

after they ducked out the back when they saw us and bugged out

Ducked down and got paintballs shot at they truck, blaow!

Look at y'all runnin your mouth again

when you ain't seen a f*ckin Mile Road, South of 10

And I don't need help, from D-12, to beat up two females

in make-up, who may try to scratch me with Lee Nails

"Slim Anus," you damn right, Slim Anus

I don't get f*cked in mine like you two little flaming fa**ots!

I am going to be getting Relaspe and Relapse 2. You guys seen this pics of the supposed 2 pac in New Orleans? Crazy, but I am certain it's a great look alike.

The names Em and ICP called each other were just stupid. "Silenty Gay?" "Slim Anus?" Sounded like they belonged more in a recess argument than diss tracks.

I just listened to "Kim" and "97' Bonnie and Clyde" in that order and damn, the lyrics is just too disgusting to think about.

Really, Eminem can sometimes sound crazy. As good lyrically he is, things like this are just sick.

I know it's a song and all but it is based on actual persons with their real names.

At least he could have turned it into a more fictional story with random names picked up.

I mean how insane can he be to make a song where he goes with his baby and dumps his wife's body into the water in front of the kid?

While it's a great story carried on from the first song to the second, it just has a brutal subject matter.
