Definitely some good rap that I've been getting into for a while now, but I haven't met too many people aware of them/him.

Blazing Arrow is a very good album though.

TMZ posted a video claiming Tupac Shakur is alive, they have pictures of him. Which were taken recently, you can tell because of the products in the background. Now of course I don't believe it's really him for certain reasons. Here's the link to the Myspace video. The images shown could either be a look-alike or photoshopped. You be the judge.

Some really nice work - sort of calming, but dope at the same time.

Last.FM implies that it was record troubles near the start of their career that stopped them blowing up, which is a shame.. and I can't recall the website, but Blackalicious were named #1 as amazing artists you've never heard of before.

 

 

That 3AM trailer looks like it could be interesting. (but not a huge fan of the song)

Love the song or hate the song I think the msuic video is f*cking sick. I don't remember a video with much blood, so many severed body limbs, and so many dead corpses in a 5 minute time frame.

Exactly. If he had a darker beat and used his normal voice it would be insane. Safe to say I wont be seeing that video on music channels.

I don't venture into Rap unless by gun point, but the morning radio show here, they brought up Tone Loc in regard to the song FUNKY COLD MEDINA. The guy could NOT remember the rapper's name, despite his acting foray as well.

Tone Loc is one of my favorites because as a rapper, he has a very nice, unique voice. Delivery suffers however, but like Snoop Dogg, the voice MUST stand out if you DON'T sing, lets be honest here. Otherwise there is absolutely no point.

I must admit I laughed out loud. 3rd song in entitled 'My Mom' In 'My Name is' one of the lyrics goes

You could probably make a good prediction from those names which ones are going to be serious and which ones wont be. The majority of the middle section seems pretty dark. I BET 'Deja Vu' is the song that touches on Proofs death (First Bugz and now Proof - DeJa Vu) With a good old Political bashing song in there as well.

I pointed out prior there was press on negotiations to have Eminem appear in a Rockstar feature, I believe based on GTA, a movie idea that had been kicked around for some time, it's no longer on the table, however, the press was happy to say that thing fell apart and how bad an idea it was. I have to agree. Maybe he can just dance?

I just watched the video for 3am, and I'm impressed. The song's actually grew on me, and all of his new singles have actually.

 

I also heard on the radio a while ago officer Ricky wants to battle Em or something. I mean, Ross just released a decent album, way better than his last, but I would just love to see him get torn up by Marshall. It's been too long since I've heard a new Invasion mixtape.

Juvenile: No love for MMLP? For me; Infinite, SSLP and MMLP are the only albums I can stand of Eminem - but those albums are all up there in my all-time favourites. Only some tracks off his newer albums do I actually like.

No love for Eminem Show? I know it shows signs of him calming down considerabley, but I love that album to bits.

 

Yeah, I think the video has put 3.A.M in context a bit more. Without the visual element, the lyrics felt a bit lost in my opinion.

 

 

That moment in the 3.A.M video where he's standng in the corner behind the security guard in the Rehab centre before drawing the knife to stab him - yeah, apparently that's a Rick Ross dig. I don't know if it's official or just coincidence.

Well, it is a big fat black security guard eating food. I'd say thats a pretty big coincidence. He keeps on baiting Em in videos, but eventually he'll run out of words that rhyme with Boss.

I like the beat, better than Crack A Bottle in my opinion. I don;t think you could expect a serious song if it's called 'Old Times Sake' Yes the accent is still there. Infact, the accent's at maximum level in this song if anything.

 

Reminding me a lot of 'Square Dance' for some reason

 

 

Actually, having lsitened to it for about the 6th time now, there's no accent on the chorus. Why can't he do a whole frikkin song without an accent? He's clearly capable of doing it

They are typically annoying, and the funny thing is TuPac was masogynistic [?]initially in his treatment of women. I had heard, I believe via MTV.

Lol, where did that come from? There hadn't been a mention of either 2pac nor 50 Cent in the thread for a while.

To clear it up, 50 Cent is a fake wannabe who think he's a gangsta because on all his images he wields a pistol and then he raps about how thug he is. He used to be good but not now anymore when he went mainstream.

 

2pac on the other hand is a legend.

 

Er... anyways, Eminem should get rid of that annoying accent sometime, happily I'm not really anticipating the album and the days just go like nothing has happened in my case.
