Em did base off Cage but his voice is different, you could tell the difference between them quite easily. Whereas with Asher he sounds indentical at some points.

I don't get the Em comparisons honestly. If anyone, he reminds of Weezy how he likes to pause in the middle of rhymes, alter the pronunciation of words, or just come up with completely new ones altogether. lol

 

It's a basic formula, but an effective one. I mean, if I got people like Busta and Jazze Pha to help out with my debut album, I wouldn't complain. The one major flaw with him is that he's trying to appeal to everyone, where he should just stick with the drunken fratboys who wouldn't know good rap if it smacked them in the face.

f*cking hate that tool, since the first time I heard I Love College I instantly had a distaste for him. He seems to be your generic talentless fratboy who if he weren't making sh*tty music he'd be cleaning the bathrooms at his old highschool for a living. I'm sick of Hip-Hop being dumbed down for asshole suburbanites who don't even know what the term MC means.

 

Now for some real Hip-Hop. I just remembered how much I love Mars Ill, amazing MC. I first heard him on a all hip-hop internet radio station I listen to and haven't turned back. He sounds a lot like Copywrite, but he's got a better flow.

I know they say not to judge a book by it's cover, but after seeing that I've become extremely optimistic about Relapse.

 

I also read that a lot of the writing of the album was done while Eminem was in depression and mourning over the death of Proof. That's what I like to hear!

Haha, good point. And apparently Relapse is going to only have 50 and Dre on it, so it's a pretty sparse guest list.

 

And not to oversaturate the topic with Em talk, but his new single 3 am is supposedly going to leak today. Supposed to be in the vein of The Way I Am and Like Toy Soldiers, so hopefully some dark, vintage Shady in that respect.

Suge Knight is a wreck. Deserves to be in the gutter after he exploited Snoop, Pac, Dre and other Death Row artists.

It isn't. The three songs so far, Crack A Bottle, We Made You and 3AM would be so much better if Em didn't use this accent thing he's putting on. In We Made You, even though its comical he still kills it lyrically, the second verse is pretty crazy if you read the lyrics.

 

I still hold high hopes for Em. He did say he was dropping two albums so maybe the next will be more serious? You know Em kills it when he goes in angry.

Despite the slight accent, the music video for 3 AM HAS to be f*cking sick. I mean, the whole things about killing people. If the video isn't on some old Slim Shady level then we're doomed visually. I like the song tho

 

 

I think the 3rd verse of We Made You is the best personally becuase he mocks himself (Pink Alf shirt/birthday cake) And he dissed Kardashial again in 3AM which i laughed at

 

@Bean: He doesn't usually have many guest artists on his records to be honest. 50/Dre/Snoop/D12 and Nate Dogg are the only guest vocals I ever recall him using.
