anyone know where I can "get" this track? Cant find the album for sh*t.

Hmm, Its on a certain site. I'll see what I can do.

New Del is sounding great, didn't even know he had an album coming. Funkman is dropping April 7th, for free! (Probably to make up for 11th Hour?)

Of course. I only got into them because of Bun's solo sh*t.

Yeah, so it's definitely Ridin' Dirty, Wu Tang Forever, cLOUDDEAD and the Cold Vein dominating my playlists right now.

f*ck yeah, UGK are great. I also got into them through Bun B. By the way, UGK are releasing their final album in 5 days time. Should leak soon, I guess.

RIP Pimp C sad.gif

Why do the good rappers have to die while the bad rappers are still living?

I hate it when people say that.

Why do bad people live while innocent children develop cancer?...yadda yadda yadda, blah blah blah, cry cry cry.

There's no answer, it's just how it happened. And Tupac would not be so highly regarded today if he never died, his death definitely boosted his popularity over the years and put an end to what was going to be a declining career. Just like Kurt Cobain of Nirvana. If 2Pac was still around today he'd be bumpin' n grindin' in videos alongside Lil' Wayne and Flo Rider, just like Snoop Dogg is now.

So please, stop complaining and love hip-hop for what it is now. There's plenty of great rappers out there. And if you don't like what you see on TV, then turn it off and look underground.

[...]If 2Pac was still around today he'd be bumpin' n grindin' in videos alongside Lil' Wayne and Flo Rider, just like Snoop Dogg is now.[...]

I find that hard to believe. Firstly because he would never be alive with the fast lifestyle he lived along with his big mouth. Secondly because it just wouldn't be in his nature to release music like that, as even he said he would end up only releasing an album every 5 years or so. And unlike Jay-Z, I would imagine if Pac retired, he would actually stick to his word.

The main point being, is for the most part, yes the best rappers are dead. Pac, Pun, L and even Biggie I believe all died before they reached their full potential. I don't see how anyone can make the hypothetical assumption of them falling under the same trends of modern mainstream rap, especially when these trends started to really become apparent after their deaths. So many hypotheticals and what-ifs make discussions like these more or less irrelevant, but obviously everyone still has an opinion on the matter.

As far as I can recall at this moment Dre/Ice Cube/T/any other gangsta rappers aren't bumping with the likes of Soulja Boy or Lil Wayne/Flo Rida and they're all from the same period as Pac. It's not their thing and it wouldn't have been Tupac's either.

I'm actually not surprised Snoop's rolling with them to be honest. He's all for the party, and that's what those guys are doing as well. The only difference is, Snoop can do it properly!

To be honest if Eazy and Pac were alive I think it would be extremely intresting to see how they would react to the mainstream crap of today. They were both very public about fakes and being "real." One would say, "I reckon Eazy would of dissed Soulja Boy in the way he did to Dre on Real Muthaphukkin G's or Tupac also making refferences to how bad the industry has slipped".

At the same time another person would argue "They would probably of matured and kept quiet about it." Tupac would be around 39 if he was alive? Therefore he may still be making records, I reckon Eazy would of stopped making records if he was alive today and focus on pushing artists on Ruthless, judging how he would be 45. Still, however they could make coments through interviews and not through records. Snoop Dogg made coments about todays West Coast scene after the "Crank That" hysteria. Eazy and Pac would not of stayed silent in my opinion they would of said something, who knows what they would of said.

If only they never died, its a massive shame and pitty. Only the best die young im afraid.

Rest In Peace

Yeah I agree with pretty much everything you just said.

I always thought that Tupac would end up getting murdered after 94. He had such a big mouth and so many enemies, it was a matter of time before they finished him off. Sad but true. To be honest im kind of surprised he made it so far into 96!

It's wierd how Eazy died in 95, then Tupac dies a one year later in 96 and finally Biggies dies in 97. Prehaps it was some kind of prophecy, a dark one.

I don't really listen to alot of rap, but I do like artists such as Wu-Tang, Notorious BIG, Mobb Deep, etcetera. Rap was ruined after the appearence of artists such as Soulja Boy, and 50 Cent AFTER he attained his superstar status.

spent the majority for 3 hours today watching MTV Base.

Rev Run was doing a top 40 Hip Hop Anthems countdown so I thought why not. I had nothing planned for the day. Not a abd selection of songs. A bit of Tupac, some Eminem, Ja Rule, Nelly, Nas, Jay Z, Eve, Missy Elliot and various others. Not all of it was really your typical selection of songs, which made for a nice change.

It was good apart from number 1. He picked his own 'Walk This Way - Run DMC ft Aerosmith whish I thought was a little lame of the Rev.

He played several DMX tracks as well. The one that sticks out in my mind atm is 'Who We Be' Now, I have NEVER heard a DMX track (At least never heard one knowing it was DMX) I was pleasently surprised by 'Who We Be' The song was good and the music video was pretty awesome imo.

Purchased 3 of his albums 'The Great Depression', 'Flesh Of My FLesh Blood Of My Blood' and 'It's Dark and Hell Is Hot' and had those 3 on loop all afternoon. I'm quite enjoying him smile.gif
