I've never really followed DOOM and I still don;t really have the urge to either. Something about the whole mask thing puts me off. It's odd.

Recently got T.I.'s Paper Trail (my 1st T.I. album), and it's actually pretty good. Got it after hearing Dead and Gone on the radio.

 

Don't get me wrong, I still prefer the old-school and '90s hip-hop (Nas, Dr. Dre, Biggie, 2Pac, Wu-Tang) over modern hip-hop, but some of it's still good. Kanye, The Game, Luda, Lil Wayne (to some extent), and now T.I. are my favorite modern rappers.

Heh, the art is pretty crappy. But I must admit, this album is great.

hell yeah man, i'm loving the album so far. I didn't know he mixed dig it and phantom of the synths on the lp, I just thought that j rocc mixed it. That raekwon joint is crazy.

I don't even think it was an intentional single either. As I heard it was unfinsihed, so Em thought f*ck it, lets finsih it and stick it out anyways.

 

Can't judge an album on one song (Even if it's no his best I can still loop it several times) I'm Having A Relapse was pretty aweosme imo.

 

It's like Jay Z in my opinion. His first few albums were immense, now he just raps about how great he thinks he is and how everyone wants him. It gets pretty tedious after the 5th album. Really can't listen to him anymore.

Have any of you heard of Drake?

He's one of the best new artist out, and raps with Lil Wayne a lot. He puts Lil Wayne to shame, not to say Lil Wayne is that good in the first place, but Drake is a very nice emcee.

When his album (Thank Me Later) comes out this year, this dude is gonna blow up. He passed on a million dollar deal twice, so that should let you know the kind of talent this guy has. He used to play on that show Degrassi. He was the kid who got shot and had to be put in a wheel chair.(Jimmy) Anyway check out his music because he is not to be slept on.

I was pleasantly surprised with it. Only 13 tracks but most of them crack, and definitely an album to party or drive to.
