For anyone who thinks ps2 San An is better

Recommended Posts

ps2 is alot easier to control than pc

True.......But truthfully, i believe, you can buy yourself a controller for the PC.

The Ps2's graphics in my opinion are alot prettier with respect to sunlight, vehicles, lighting, and road textures. The sky color is stunning.

Actually you can aim better with the PC since you can get easy headshots. That makes most gang wars tons easier than having to shoot every Balla 3 or 4 times in the chest. Plus I find driving with both the keyboard and mouse to be better since I can use the mouse for finessing corners and slam hard around with the keyboard then use the mouse to ease back out of the turn.

But I do think that the PS2 version has a special quality. It feels more like you're watching a movie than playing a game at times. More immersing experience that way for me.

PS2 San Andreas is classic. And yes, controlling seems much better. I find that a definite when it comes to flying.

You can set your PC settings to have great Plane controlling also..

PS2 probaly is better because on the PC i think San Andreas can get a little boring.

You can buy a PS/2 controller adapter, which allows you to play the PC game with the Playstation 2's controller.

The PC graphics, in my opinion, definitely look improved and more clear. I can't fully play the game due to low RAM but I haven't touched my PS2 version in a while, to me it gets pretty boring after completion.

Thats what mods are for wink.gif . Myself i'd prefer a PC version over a PS2 GTA because of mods and other advantages, but there is less stress involved with the PS2 (problems with the computers etc.) so I buy all GTAs on the consoles first. And then once the price dies down, I buy the PC version for mods.

What are you talking about? notify.gif

The PC beats the consoles hands down at least with respect to GTA games. The PC port has come out traditionally 6 months after its console release and by that time the game developers have enough time to sort out the glitches and the graphical flaws which were present with the console version.I can't tell you about GTA3 but that definitely happened with GTA VC and GTA SA.

Isn't it pretty much an accepted fact that the mouse and keyboard are totally superior controls for aiming and shooting?

Those parts of the game are certainly extremely easy on the PC, perhaps TOO easy.

The flying was hard at first but now those missions are easy as well, and i haven't tried the ps2 so it's hard to compare, but driving certainly isn't a problem on the PC.

Clearly the PC has better graphics as well.

And obviously the game would look a lot better still on the PC and be more advanced if they didn't have to adapt it for the crappy abilities of the PS2 first.

PS2 is just too outdated to really make a game like GTA SA for.

PC version is much better, as someone said - you can shoot and control camera better, and the controls can be changed as you wish. Graphics and drawing distance is way better, and you can mod the game.

Also on PC you can browse the Web, manage your stock, chat with friends, all in convenient way. And the hardware gets better and cheaper, while consoles tend to cost the same.

i have to correct you its a PS2 (PlayStation 2) adapter. not a PS/2 (personal system 2). A PS/2 port is what you plug your mouse and keyboard into on the back of your PC. (unless your using USB for your mouse and keyboard) but anyways i have the adapter for the ps2 controller and it rocks.

By "PS/2" I meant the adapter can be used for a Playstation or Playstation 2 controller.

You can play the pc version online, you can mod it, you can make it look stunning with the setting turned up, you can take awsome screenshots and vids, it's not being played on a overhyped underpowered thing..(the ps2)

but it does take me down memory lane to see it on the ps2..

PC FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I suppose it depends on what you're into. If half the experience involves mods and tuning the game to your liking then of course the PC is for you. If your gaming needs are more simple and don't include outside additions then the PS2 is best because of the easy controls that make the experience better.
