Xsjado
In my opinion i dont see why there should be any empire guises or anything like that because it is so simple to me, i dont know about the rest of you. for me it is just run over, pull out shotgun, blow up vehicle, run about 20 metres away and then start blowing them away. i then run inside and wreck everybody and everything.it is so simple and i even do it with a pistol sometimes to make it a bit harder because it so easy! at the moment i only have about $22200 rolling every day and i just dont seem to have anything to spend it on. Money is just way to hard to get so i end up buying a stack of shotguns or other weapons so i can get rid of some money! it is just way to hard to take over and develop, all my business' are high rollers

And I have about 2,5 million in cash now with a regular basis of 86,000 coming in every day. I don't have the slightest idea what to spend it on though. Did you even read what I wrote for the guide, or do you just like to post here people are complaining about stuff I explained. If you don't know something make sure I did not put it in my guide, and then post.
Snake Without a Tongue
I attacked one building! On my way to the next a bunch of guys rolled up in a jeep. Before I could get out of the car it blew up. I guess I just need to move faster.
Snake Without a Tongue
I'm two thirds through taking over the empires. I'm still diving toward my save points due to the massive amounts of people currently wanting to kill me. Staggering the order of the take-overs did nothing, but I'm getting by. Pardon my lingering Empire questions. I could probably get by without knowing the answers but it'd be nice to know anyway. 1. Do I have to buy every building I take over to eventually conquer them all? I ask because I'm spending money faster than I'm making it. 2. Dude that started this thread; you said to choose high roller, but is that necessary, because it's an expensive option. 3. What does repair mean? Is there anything I can do to make my empires stronger or is that what the empire missions are for? 4. What's up with the empires that don't have vehicles in front of the building. Yes you do, but when you take over a business I said to make it a small time protection racket. This will actually earn you $500. I said after you own them all make them high roller robbory. 2. by the time you have all of the small time protection rackets you will be making enough money to get a high roller robbory every day. By the time you have about five high roller robberies you will be making great money. 3. It means a business attacked you and destroyed your business. If you pay the fie hundred dollars you will get it fixed, like i said in the guide do this after you own them all , and they are all small time protection rackets. 4. There is one in ocean beach that you take over for a mission, it is very close to the pizza place. Also they are not allways in front, they are sometimes on the side or behind it. I hoped I helped, but once again my guide answered all these questions.

bitsandpieces
ONCE ALL OF YOUR BUSINESSES ARE ROBBERY: 1. Do all of the missions for robbery. This will make the people there respect you more. When your men respect you, you will make a lot more money. All Robbery? What if i want to make them all "Prostitution"? After all, what am i gonna do with all that money?? And what if i leave the game on all night? Collecting $32.100 every 24 minutes..(owning all Empires at high roller).., In the morning, i'll be------------rich!!...? I like the "Protection" rackets, with the Dancer on stage reminds me of The Pole Position, on VC Edited April 2, 2007 by bits&pieces
WILLY1
well, once you have enough money i suppose you could make them anything you want, but then you would have to do all the missions for those.

BixDugan
A decent guide, but everyone will find their own way to prevail. My tips: You can start on the 1st island, or wait. Get fireproofed, stock up on cocktails. Fun for all, especially when you go inside a site. If you can, stock up on MP5, M-4 & Equalizer, especially when hitting the Sharks. Take over, buy business, get over to another business, takeover, repeat as long as you like. When you're tired of all the heat, save. Turn off your console. Restart & reload. Ignore attacks for the most part, unless that stat is important to you (Attacks successfully defended) A site can take 4(?) attacks without it being "lost". Repair as needed. I don't think its possible to run short of money. I just went straight to high roller. Soon you'll be swimming in money. Isn't VCS a great game? spikestrike
Robbery gives the most $$$$$$$$ seriously I have got all 30 empires now, and only one island is robbery other island are random ones and I get 130 000 every day. Just try again and again and again to pass the missions, you will succeed one day...>!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Crokey
OK a few problems here so I'll put them in simple one-liner format so I can get the right answer 1. Once you own all 30 sites should you be attacked again (after Mendez Bros Mission 'Hostile Takeover') 2. If you are still getting attacked is it because not all of your businesses are High Roller 3. or Is it because you've not completed all the 'missions' for each type of business ie Smuggling, Robbery 4. if 1. is a negative, then WTF am I still getting attacked? Hope you can see my problem.

Otherwise make sure every gang is dead. Some of the bikers proporty is hard to see because of the color. Otherwise I can't help you Edited April 22, 2007 by WILLY1

Hope you can see my problem. 1. To my knowledge, not after you reload the game. After you do that with all 30 sites locked up, that should be it for the gang attacks on your businesses. But until you reload, they may still be attacking you. 2. I'm pretty sure the answer is 'no', but I have not verified this. I don't think size matters, despite what the gals in your brothels have told you. (A nod to Sid Meier/Brian Reynolds for that one.) 3. I don't think that matters. I took my sweet time finishing up the missions for Robbery, and my attacks ended well before then--after I took over the last of 30 businesses and rebooted the console. 4. If you are still being attacked after you took over all 30 and rebooted, then I think there's a bug. As an aside, I sympathize with your frustration. I can't tell you how many times (in the world of message boards) that someone, meaning well but in great haste to pipe up, has answered half of a question of mine without paying any attention to the second half or to its qualifiers. The nature of the medium is sifting the irrelevant from the relevant, I'm afraid. I hope this helps. Bear in mind that in some cases we're still figuring out the mechanics of exactly what triggers what, kind of a group learning process, so I could possibly err. Crokey
I think it was a 'Reset the machine' Glitch I had, bad coding in my opinion it's something they should have noticed during beta testing. BixDugan
I think it was a 'Reset the machine' Glitch I had, bad coding in my opinion it's something they should have noticed during beta testing. I mean it's not like an upside down texture or anything I think R* intended the gangs' attacks to continue until YOU decided to re-load or re-start. Because this way you could start by taking 5, 10 or any number of sites, dealing with the attacks along the way. Then when you wanted to return the storyline, Save and re-load/re-start to stop attacks. Do some of the storyline, then return to empire-building when you feel like it. So many of the glitches were corrected from the PSP release, for them to leave this well-known feature in the PS2 version, seemed intentional.
