unopescio 1,491 Posted May 14, 2007 Author Share Posted May 14, 2007 woo, Its bin a while but Ive moved to my aunts house while my normal home is kind of f*cked up but she doesnt have the internet. anyway let me answer your quesions, as for the release date my only target is before gta4 is released, at the moment it looks like Ill make it . Yes, the tunnels cross over and both meet at ghost town. Im trying to mmake ghost town really detailed with loads of secrets places to climb and explore, at the moment Ive got fire escapes in the alleys that let you climb up the side and Im hoping to put a few open windows on some building for more exploration. The higher quality texures came from the txds for ghostown, Im not sure what the file was called, something like cutsroads.txd or something. Ill post an update with picure in a couple weeks which shows loads of updates to ghosttown, a couple all new vehicles, and the dodo replaced with a lear jet that doesnt fly like sh*t! and a whole bunch of other stuff. oh yeah, and Ive finished the new dam which was heavily damaged by an attack (huge hole in it) letting all the water behing it to run out uncovering more land and a couple interesting tings at the bottem of the lake! stay tuned, still looking for Ideas about those last radio station names though! P.S. Does anyone know how to edit vehicle paths properly? It seems notmatter what I do (editing in moomapper this is) when I save some of the xyz points are reset to zero and its really pissing me off. Link to post Share on other sites

I migt give it a shot, mabye he dead of of some past characer or something could be put in there. @uni: yeah, its a shame this will probably be almost the last full blown mod for 3. Also with some news, the new ghost town is starting to grow really quickly and the cost is starting to come together, Im filling in the gaps, Ill update with pictures probably next week. I remember reading somewhere that in gta3 the vehicle/ped paths unlike vice city are built into the models which means the any path editor for vice city won't work on gta3. Loads of work is getting done and the game is changing every day, most of the work however, has been done on ghosttown which Ive renamed Redfern (some Aussies may get the joke). I hope to get ghosttown finished and out of the way soon so I can continue with the rest of the mod. Ive also done a thousand little things that arnt really worthy of a whole screenshot. first off, I created a new jeep/buggy thing thats ment to be a vehicle home made be the survivors ( I know it looks a bit like the HL2 buggy) Ive also remade one of the subways to include a crashed subway train ( I think this was someones suggestion) complete with dead bodies, enjoy! you can enter most the carriges, if I figure out how, I hope to make this the Stauton hideout. Oh yeah, when you step on the dead bodies, they make a squishy sound, try it! Ive also replaced the dodo with a rusty learjet (Basiclly just a lengthed and a bit changed learjet from SanAndreas). It handles heaps better than the dodo though and you can fly alot higher alot easier. Ive also replaced the Diablo Stallion with a Ziabatsu kuruma. If I ever get a team of coders together my hope is to make a new storyline following the defeat of the Diablos. Link to post Share on other sites
unopescio 1,491 Posted June 11, 2007 Author Share Posted June 11, 2007 The Dam was also attacked by the rebels as a way to cripple the citys water supply helping to lead it into chaos, so theres a giant hole in it which drained all the water behind it out, so you can drive around there now and see a couple things that were sunken at the bottem Youll have to wait for the final version to get a look at these I also replaced the butt ugly observatory with a snazzy new one and a shot in MooMapper Ghosttown has grown enormously since the last update Yes, you can climb all the fire escapes Link to post Share on other sites

Anyway, looks really nice, but it also looks pretty cramped. Maybe try making it a little bigger? Also, I'm loving the Buggy + Shamal, but you're going to have to think about the unsolid roofs and hidden areas that lead to Blue Hell. All in all, it's looking great. Can we expect a beta any time soon? Edit: I'm absolutely loving the fire escapes. I can see this mod being used in a lot of machinimas. I might even make one with it myself! Yeah the subway is a bit cramped, but if it becomes the safehouse it wont really matter because you wont be able to walk around inside it anymore anyways. I am considering editing the collision files that Rockstar were too lazy to finish, but nothing definet at the moment. Jesus this is a big update. Remember that high pressure gas pipe coming out of Staunton Island heading into the Shorside Vale mountains You Could turn it into a oil pipe and put a broken down oil factory up on the part of the mountain closest to Portland Island http://www.imagehosting.com/show.php/76806...lSpots.jpg.html I also think you should give Liberty Campus an interior and/or put a school in Ghostown(theres a high school in Portland(I think)and Liberty Campus in Staunton).
