Little Big Planet

Little Big Planet was recently announced at GDC. It's a community based game for the PS3 that focuses its gameplay around sharing. This means you can make your own levels and share them online and then other people can play them with their mates. While playing they have to help each other out to get to the end of side scrolling levels. All of the different obstacles along the way are physics based.

 

This game looks very simple yet promising and it seems like a very original idea to me.

I'm quite sure you will have to pay for it. It's going to be released on PSN at the end of the year and will come to BD early 2008.

 

I just watched Sony's GDC Keynote on Gamespot, found here. And they play a live demo of it at the end and showcase more gameplay.

 

After watching the Keynote, I am loving this game even more. It's just my cup of tea, a physics based, sandbox, community game. This has bags of potential.

It reminds me of that old mega drive/genesis game Rinstar where you had the star like creature that had arms that stretched to grab onto to things in the environment to move through the level. Just brought into the 21st century. It also has that cuteness Loco Roco has which is good.

That's Ristar Had it for Game Gear (and now on Wii VC). Good game.

 

As for LittleBigPlanet, if I suddenly cam into the possession of a PS3 and three friends that would play, I'd be all over this! (not that it's coming out any time soon)
