Uhhh....Uhhh.....HI!!!!!!!!!  lol.gif  *waves hand like crazy*

This is my first topic....and I am kinda nervous about what to do so....yeah...

I am actually here because as all of you i love GTA and wanted to know more people around the world who are fans, I've spent alot of time reading some of your ideas and I am impressed, this is one of the most creative and organized forums I've been to, so I wanted to take part of it.

With that aside, let's go to the topic:

On October 16 when you hopefully get your copy of GTA IV and you start it in your PS3/X360, what will be the first thing you will do after the intro? Will you do the missions? Explore?

-As for myself I think I will explore the city and try to get past the shock that I am really playing GTA IV for the first time.  rahkstar2.gif

Come on guys, tell me, you know you want to.  tounge2.gif

Probably the same thing... but months later..

cuz I am stubboprn enough to wait for the pc release if it happens...

I just don't have console thumbs sad.gif

  • 2 weeks later...
After I wake up and go home, I will probably cry

Go down on my knees and cry, and thank god for letting me live in the time of gta.

When I start playing the game my body will be filled with joy and adrenaline, so in order I will probably need to go to the balcony and scream something like I GOT GTA 4 BITCH.

hahahahahahahaha hilarious. I love the I GOT GTA4 BITCH part, as i'll probs do it now as well, except to some random elderly couple who have no idea what i'm talking about.

I'll probably play till you get your first option to save.. SAVE.. then explore.. see the sights and sounds, and fight randoms.

I would run around and admire the pretty graphics. Figure out the controls and break them in. Then start the first mission....

I probably gonna lean back on my bed and do the first mission and then just cruise around in the town, try out new features.

I remember what it was like to finally play SA on the PC, that was great happy.gif

For the first time I saw CJ and pressed the forward key and he moved. sigh.gif

Told my brother to smack me because I didn't believe it was real XD

Well and the same thing will prolly happen when I play GTA IV for the first time, arghh can't wait. tounge.gif

The first thing i'll do is rotating the camera a lot, then press the forward key and i'll look at the new cars and peds and everything ooh I really can't wait. tounge.gif

After i've done the first missions and get some freedom, I'll grab the nearest ped and start a fight, see if it's any different. Hopefully it'll be like The Warriors with grabs, heavy punches and throws etc. Then i'll probably see what happens when you go after one with a car.. will they seemingly dive into the road again like some suicidal maniac? I hope not.

With my present knowledge of GTA IV I don't exactly know what I'm going to do when the game will be in my hands. But it probably will be exploring the available area and checking new features. It'll take about one week. Then I'm going to do missions.

Good topic!

I'll do the same I do in any game, read the manual back to back (unless its huge) and then just go on a killing spree and drive as fast as I can all over the place, I still get lost in SA now! When I do missions I tend to not rest until I've done as much as possible, so hopefully I'll have that week off work...

I'll see what kind of eating places the game has. Go hit up some foods, maybe take a walk around the park, find some ice cream. Know what I sayin'?

Usually I start off playing a gta game by:

Completing a couple of missions. Usually to make sure I know how to get to my garage.

Save.

Then I go out looking for the best car and/or bike (kind of how I explore).

Save.

Explore just a little bit more.

Back to missions.

Once I get to another island, I repeat the steps.

I'm sure that exploring the area will be irresistible. I remember when I bought San Andreas. During the first whole day of playing the game, all I did was explore the amazing city of Los Santos. It'll be the same deal with GTAIV, although I'll probably start missions after a short time free-roaming.

I will find the flashiest car ever and attempt to pickup virtual girls. If i succeed i will be on my first visit to my safehouse. If i fail i will throw myself off a bridge or similary tall structure.

Erm... Start construction of the worlds biggest dubbie!!! (blueberry with flavored cigar wraps its a special occasion). I did that with San Andreas and it was seriously heavy.

i remember how much i anticipated vice city and when i first got it couldnt stop playing...(san andreas was somewhat similar but also different)

i feel the best way to get a feel for new gtas is actually to let the game lead you...do storyline missions and when you see something to explore and learn then approach it

ahh man you made this topic before me!! I was going to post the same thing... lol anyways, welcome to the forums! icon14.gif

well i guess most of us loyal GTA fans thinlk alike!! We all want to explore and listen to the radio... so do i lol... but will will also try to find some cool new interiors and just walk around the city and get the feel... but i'm probably gonna get tired of walking and just jack a car and drive around... that's what i did with San Andreas.

First off, welcome to the forum. monocle.gif

And in answer to your question: I will try and find all the hidden packages or whatever they will be in GTA:4 because that helps you to explore the city and also is easier to do earlier before people start hating you and shooting at you. The I will do the missions for that place.

Sounds like a good idea, perfect way to explore, I think I'll also do this in my own time, and check out little features and parts of scenery etc. along the way. Can't wait.

the car customization idea is good but

maybe they could actually customise the car rather than put stupid rims and sad looking exhausts on.

They could go for the precision custom aproach. Like cam swaps, piston changes, freeflow exhausts, proper nitrous, better rims, proper body kits, lights, door changes.

Actually just like NFS only with R*'s logo but within GTA

You could take the fastest car in the game and make it that much faster, like a car that can wheelie cos of its huge torque, or better still, a lawnmower that can wheelie. . .

Intelligent AI would be good too, i'm sick and tired of random peds jumping in my way when im driving and then i hit them and somehow a 2ton truck is moved off course by a 60kg person. . . amazing feats of physics there. . . or when you drive over a motorbike with a firetruck and it magically does a backflip. . . WHOA, i gotta get me a firetruck!!

back to the ped ai. Instead of the drivers making no attempt to avoid you crashing into them they could try evasive action and if u hit them, they could start chasing you down, or even helping the police.

one other thing, the most important thing i think is REAL TIME DESTRUCTION OF VEHICLES AND/OR SCENERY.

vehicles that lose wheels, get bent chassis, get completely nailed would be awesome. I dont care if it makes it harder, it will force people to drive better. . . i hate how cars roll over and go on fire and then explode. . . i've NEVER seen that in real life. . . they could have dead cars as cars with stuffed engines or broken valves or whatever makes them realisticly broken.

Fire melts, explosions explode, bullets dent and penetrate. Cars can still explode, but only with enough gunfire and flamable materials.

Oh and with weapons.

PLEASE have a more diverse armory. . . More guns, and be able to use ALL of them at once, too many times have i had to sacrifice my minigun for a flamethrower just cos i wanted to make roast gangmembers. . .

Ok i think im done die.gifrahkstar2.gif

Well, I have exams at the beggining of November, so I'll probably buy it a bit later ('cause my b'day's on the 8th biggrin.gif).

Anyway, I might get it for PC so I don't spend money for a new console.

There are things to do before even putting the disc in your 360 or PS3. Things like carefully opening the case, sniffing and fondling the game manual, staring at the disc, and rubbing your..............oops everyone does do these things right? cry.gifph34r.gifwhatsthat.gif

Not if you have someone to do it for you eh Chris? tounge.gif

Easy.

I tend to do about three or four missions, then I free-roam

for a tad. If the game has impressive physics I'll probably

go on a half-hour massacre then back to the main story.
