ExtermelySmartMan
Baaaaaaaaaaaallllllllllllllllllssssssssssssssssls and tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiittttttttttttssssssssssss. BTW To beat the game 100% do you need to do the missions in some certain order?Never beat it 100% only 85%GTA III,79%(GTA VC),80% GTA SA, so I don`t know. well, you kinda have to do them in the same order. But there's all those small side-missions that you have to do and stuff to collect.
TonyZimmzy
I'll be exploring, probaly find a few places where Armor and Weapons spawn and memorize them for future use. Also, once I learn a few good routes I'll probaly try and do Paramedic missions.
Hrimfaxi
I will beat someone like they owe me money. Then tune into either the rock station or Talk Radio station. You know, soak the ambiance.
theflatulentpanda
if its set in london, im gonna steal a car and go exploring until i find a place that resembles my area. if its not in london im gonna kill every single ped in the city to make myself feel better
~Neon~
Ah, the traditional "What you gonna do first?" thread. A bit early this time around though. Well, I never end up doing what I say I'm going to do. I remember San An, when I booted the game up and the Intros had finished I jumped on the BMX. As soon as I got to the end of the path I heard a guy shout "Anybody here seen my lizard!?!?". I was in stitches at that point, still the funniest thing I have heard a ped say. So random. Anyway, I'll just do a few missions until I can save my game then do some good old GTA free roaming for an hour or two. Mr.Mister
Well when I come home from school I will find it copy of GTA IV on my kitchen table. I have to do homework first but after work, I will probably pick up a hooker. Just kidding, probably kill people, raise wanted level (I hope they keep that feature), try out new cars, explore new maps and try out the taxi missions. next day I will probably start doing missions. MMFF
Well, this is a good question that usually comes up when a new GTA is on it's way. This is a bit early because I usually get my idea after I know what kind of features here will be. First I will do any forced missions and then take it from there, depending on what I already know is implemented or rumored. GTA3: Just f*cked around and got used to everything. GTAVC: Ran waist deep into the water, just to make sure. GTASA: Drove a car off into the ocean. I usually tell myself to just do 1 or 2 missions a day to make the game last, but that never happens. I always have too much fun doing them to hold back. Not to mention, you have to go fast or people hear ruin it for you. Like 3 days into the game you see a topic saying "So and So turns on you!" "I killed so and so!" Which really pisses me off. But, as far as what specific thing I will do first, it depends on what I hear is possible. If you can pick up rocks/bricks and throw them, then I suppose I will try that, as it is a basic easy thing that is new to give a try. I am sure I will get a car and see what the physics are like. Then smash it to see what the damage looks like. Kick a ped's ass. Perhaps I will locate a sniper rifle and shoot the moon.
Raindancer
GTA3: Just f*cked around and got used to everything.GTAVC: Ran waist deep into the water, just to make sure. GTASA: Drove a car off into the ocean. I knew nothing about GTA3 until it come out, so after the first cut scene had finished and I realised the game was in 3D, I just drove around in the car for a few minutes before completing 3 or missions, then spent a good day just exploring. Vice City: Spent the first half hour, just going through all the radio station and driving up and down the beach. San Andreas: As soon as I rode out of the alley, I crashed into a car and some sod picked up my bike and rode off. So I pulled a balla out of the car. As I was attempting to drive off, 4 balla’s pulled me out of the car and I got busted for punching a copper! Then when spawned outside of the police station, I paused the game and listened to the radio stations in the pause menu. [GTA4: As said above, not sure really what I am going to do first, I imagine that I will be taken back by the graphics and will spend some time driving around and listening to the music before I start any mission. DAM THIS THREAD!!! I am actually starting to look forward to the game now,. I will be playing some SA tonight.
saintdave
Like all other GTA games it usually takes me at least half an hour before I begin missions. I spend the first half an hour driving around the new setting, not to familiarise myself with it but just to check out what Rockstar have managed to make/include in the game. GTA 4 will be no different, I will drive around check things out, try new features (if any), kill some pedestrians and see what is available to the player from the start. Mister Pink
There are things to do before even putting the disc in your 360 or PS3. Things like carefully opening the case, sniffing and fondling the game manual, staring at the disc, and rubbing your..............oops everyone does do these things right? Hahahaha. Hillarious! CHECK THE SIZE AND SHAPE OF THE MAP! After the GTA ritual that GTA3FREAK mentioned of course. Then I shall smoke a Doobius Maximus and get just a little high. Just to calm the nerves. Then, I'll drive around checking out the stations and flick through the menu options. Mostly killing pedestrians though and hopping from car to car to check out the handling

But first i roll a reefer! Then after ur ritual i watch the intro and then the menu. Wonder what the menu is gonna look like, maybe multiplayer option aswell After that i set off to explore the first cutscenes, and maybe a must-mission. After that its hours of free roam, can't wait already..... Edited March 7, 2007 by Kernel32
Mister Zero
First thing I'd do? I'd probably just drive. Drive round, get a feel for the city, see what new vehicles I can find and get used to them as chances are it's required in a mission (much like the Go Kart in Home in the Hills). Getting used to the city is one of the most important things in my opinion, you never know when you'll need to shake the fuzz of you when the heat gets a bit much. uzi 9mm
Lol wicked topic idea. I do read the manual just for the sake of seeing little previews of what's coming up, usually in the car on the way back. I will switch it on and leave the controller until I have to use it, I always do that with GTA games, watch all the intro and get ready. If the 1st mission is not required to free roam a bit I think that's what I'll do, for SA I didn't want to get used to the world quick so I only did the missions without exploring, I wish I would have just free roamed to the limits because it's part of the game you can only experience by doing, and that I will with GTA 4. Whileroaming I'll 'walk about and do as I please, beat a few old ladies up, see a nice car I'm taking it (and that'll probably be the first car I see period because GTA 4 will look stunning in any motor), run over a few peds whilst enjoying the scenery, maybe even get a Police chase to spice it up and get used to the car control, apart from that I really can't say exacly what I'll do. But rolling as joint first is a must. You creating this talk about what we will do is making me want the game even more, now that I'm thinking of opening the case and playing it, you bastard! Only jokin' mate, welcome to the forums.

-/TNT\-
What I would do when I played the game for the first time? I'd tell myself to behave in a constrained way, not get lost in the city, and try to start doing missions as soon as possible. But of course I would only start out to do that, failing utterly and eventually getting lost in the game and having to reload.
agent17
1. I will run around in a circle out of excitement. 2. Drool, then wipe it up 3. CARFULLY remove the plastic seal. 4. Stare at the cover/back cover 5. read the Manuel/look at the map/stare at the disk. 6. look at the box art some more. 7. Transport the disk to the ps3 in a velvet lined box. 8. Insert the disk with radiation gloves. 9. Store the box in a vacuum sealed container normally used to store plutonium. 10. Watch all opening R* logos beginning credits and opening scenes. 11. Do the first few missions by the book without driving like a maniac then explore. 12. Play the game until… well…. For a long time.
Bixby
The same thing I always do since I played GTA III for the first time: I'll pick up a hooker, screw her, then beat her to death to get my money back. After that, I'll go on my own rampage and kill everything in sight to see what changes have been made to the police in the game. When I die, I savor the sheer amount of violence, political incorrectness, and freedom that GTA has.
Greene
I'll probably do the first few missions and then do a bit of exploring.
GTA Thug 4 Life
Okay, after beeing unconsicious because I saw the gta 4 box, and the guy who works there handed it to me. After I wake up and go home, I will probably cry Go down on my knees and cry, and thank god for letting me live in the time of gta. After this, I will handle the box like a baby. Carefully open it, really carefully take out the manual, and yeah its a tradition smell it. Read every page carefully, everytime when I want to go to the next page do it with extreme caution. Worship the manual, poster, and cd. Then when I put the cd in my hopefully ps3 drive, I will keep the box next to me in probably a towel or something in which it stays clean. And when I am away I keep it in a secret place of mine along Gta Sa Then when the first cinematic/menu/or whatever comes, I will probably faint again. When I start playing the game my body will be filled with joy and adrenaline, so in order I will probably need to go to the balcony and scream something like I GOT GTA 4 BITCH. Then i will do standard routine, do the first couple of missions, explore, keep dooing every new feature I see. While I am probably sh*tting my pants of excitement
