To everybody whos buying the PS2 version

Riding shotgun

If you're buying the PS2 version of VCS. Expect some incredibly new complex missions. Theres more than "do this and go here...ta da, youre done!" The missions are defintely longer, newer and overall more interesting. Lots of returning characters from VC and the bright sunny city we've always loved is in tact. Theres better easter eggs too. Anyways, I'm not spamming, I'm just giving you future Ps2 VCS owners a thought of what you can expect.

Ok, this is interesting to me, so lemme hit u up with this:

I played GTA III, VC and SA, but SA rules my life unlike the others did. FFS, I am still playing it now, on the PC, with a shed load of mods (much love to Ducati996 & GRIM). When LCS dropped, I rushed out to buy it and you know what? SA had turned into a spoiled kid. I was all like?= 'WTF u mean I can't climb this wall? or crouch?'. And the missions, I knew they were gonna be different, but it seemed very, well, dumb after the intracies of SA. I mean, take this car and run over 50 mafia guys'. I wanted the freedom that SA afforded of completing missions as you saw fit. Yes, i am spoiled!

Now before u flame my @$$, i respect LCS for what it is and why rockstar did what they did, and I'm cool, I don't want money back or nuttin, i understand why it is the way it is (i.e developed for PSP & the time constraints of mobile gaming).

So, I am asking, should I buy VCS? To make me happy i would want:

- climbing fences like in SA

- Crouch & Stealth

- Slightly better missions

Opinions pls?

Unless you're from R* Leeds, you don't have the slightest credibility saying that.

Assuming that you do have some credibility, then, in any case, what you said does not make sense.

I feel the same way. But I see LCS and VCS as a sort of retro homage. still, I don't see why the little improvements couldn't be carried over: swimming, climbing, crouching, aiming, etc.

Oh well, I never liked SA, so I'm happy that another GTA game is coming to the PS2...It has been about..huh...1 year and a half since the last time I've played SA...Or even more..I'm pretty happy with VC(my favourite) and LCS... You know, climbing, crouching and stealth are really not that necessary. Specially the stealth, it was ridiculous in SA, IMO. And the crouch, oh well, I'm not a big user of that one..Climbing is a nice one, but not that necessary..

Anyway, VCS has *OH MY GOD!!!!* swimming, so that's one thing less to complain(I'm not saying that You're complaining, but there were a lot of people complaining about that when LCS was being released for the PS2)... I really enjoy VC and LCS, so, thanks "God", I'm not spoiled by all those things! smile.gif

I think he's explaining what VCS is like to the PS2 buyers who haven't played VCS yet. Kind of pointless, if you ask me.

Erm...is it not just a 100% straight port minus a few bug fixes, like LCS? dontgetit.gif

You forgot about better draw distance , graphics , less

of the blur when you drive fast to wards a building and less objects poping up from

nowhere wink.gif

Why is it pointless?

I don't have the game yet, although I only have to wait a week now, and I for one am appreciative that someone who has played it tells me what I can expect.

People on here are way too damn negative.

yeah without a doubt im gettin it...im surprised they made the date 3/6 i think for lcs it was out for ps2 in june 06...

but anyway...i aint a fan of the psp...sh*ts mad hard for me to focus on and play...i live for the ps2 versions of gta's...

Yes March 6th 2007 is the OFFICAL release date I belive it's $20.00 for the game maybe some better graphic's but all you Hardcore Gta fan's like me will have it anyway's.... rahkstar2.gif

Saving $230 by waiting four months (for better graphics and gameplay) doesn't make a person less "hardcore."

I have no problem with the people who have a PSP already or thought their would be no port..but I'll be damned if I'm buying a $200 system that will be used for nothing outside of GTA if there is a chance their would be a port.

You obviously don't know the meaning of hardocore. He means that if you bought the PSP version of VCS, it doesn't matter because if you love and are a true hardcore GTA fan you will pick it up anyways for the PS2.

Here look it up, hardcore.

well maybe they might be adding better missions and newer stuff seeing how it's proboly the last PS2 version of GTA.

What kind of missions do you mean? Plus, the extra content was already confirmed by Rockstar not to be true, plus it's only a port so everything (or most everything) that was on the PSP version will be on the PS2 version and also maybe San Andreas Stories could be a possibility of another GTA PS2 game if it ever gets announced... but that would be ages after the PSP version if that would be announced.

Here's what I think will be in the PS2 version: The garage bug is fixed; there is an option to turn Trails on and off like in Vice City; no multiplayer.

I'll definitely be buying this tomorrow to see if I'm right.

it doesn't come out tomarrow dude it come's out tuesday smile.gif

Trails on and off would be awesome! This f....in' "integrated trails" system, introducted in San Andreas, sucks!!! In Vice City You could turn the trails off and the graphics would be pretty beautiful! Now, with that damn orange sunset, You can't do it anymore! Man, that sucks!

Old School Hustla

I absolutely do not think there will be any new content in the PS2 version of VCS. Rockstar already stuck it to PSP owners by promising then reneging on "exclusivity", again....lol tounge2.gif Even they don't have the gall to A) Turn around and release it on PS2 B) Sell it for less than half the cost of the PSP's price AND C) Add more stuff to the port version than those poor bastards that bought it for the handheld got! That would be waaaaay over the top!
