A person who worships a certain item, as if it was god. That about sums up a fanboy, and that about sums up you. I haven't supported any console in the Gaming Chat, yet you continue to label me as a fanboy, while all your posts on GTAF are supporting Sony. I said I'd love to see Sony fail because then we might see a price drop, which would mean more people would buy it, which would make Sony succeed. See? I supported Sony in a way, I just didn't say they were the best thing ever like you do in every single one of your posts. Want to know the truth? I own a PS3, but I don't get on my hands and knees infront of it and chant "You are god. You are god.", like you probably do with yours. Know what? I couldn't care less if you have a 360. You're STILL a Sony fanboy, and if you haven't noticed, everyone else agrees with me. I'm not hating on Sony, I'm hating on you. It annoys me how you can claim not to be a fanboy while half the forum says you are, and you support Sony in every single one of your posts. Good day sir. By your definition I shouldn't be a fanboy because I have a 360 is what I said. That also applies to you when you say you have a PS3. Why would anyone want a product they own to fail? I am just as much a fanboy as you are. You speak out more negatively towards Sony but I don't. You don't have to hate a company or dislike one to be out of the fanboy category which you guys love to put others in. I don't worship the Playstation 3 as you would have yourself and others believe. There is a lot of negative stories being posted around the internet with half truths....which is what the article posted in this topic did. I corrected that yet you SEEM disappointed. The article said Sony is removing motion sensing. I posted the official story which makes no such mention, shouldn't you have been happy to hear that? That was one less stupid thing Sony did according to you.....or is it that you only to speak out when they do something wrong. They have done many things right, but I don't see anyone commenting on those. It's always the negative stories the overshadow the good ones. I'm not hating on Sony, I'm hating on you. How can you hate someone you don't know? lol, we obviously don't have the same opinion....I don't consider you an enemy like you seem to consider me. This is a discussion, isn't it? Anyway, back to software emulation....what some of you forget is the reason it's harder for Microsoft to emulate Xbox games is because they don't have the rights to some of the Xbox hardware used in the first one, they also don't use Nvidia's graphics card with the 360. Sony does not have that problem. They own the rights to their hardware and it will be easier for them to update the list. North America/Japan will see software emulation in newer units. I reply saying that's wrong because it is not in the official press release so therefore it is not being removed. You call me a fanboy. Now, tell me....where did that come from? If not me, somebody else would have mentioned the official press release..... It seems you wanted to believe this, for what reason? You wanted Sony to fail because you think somehow that would make people buy the PS3 because Sony would lower the price. What a plan! lol You do know competition is healthy right? Microsoft or Nintendo having a monopoly isn't going to benefit anyone. With Sony gone (from the video game business), do you really think Nintendo had any chance? Microsoft even thought of buying Nintendo for $15 billion dollars but they chose to lose $4 billion to establish their brand. Yes, I don't expect you to respond. Anyway....I shouldn't have gotten into this in the first place...back to the backwards compatibility issue and I've already said this before but I think I should repeat this... It should be easier for Sony to offer b/c through emulation compared to Microsoft since they (Sony) own the rights to their hardware. Microsoft doesn't which is why it's harder for them to make it available as much as they would like to. Nvidia is not on Microsoft's side anymore like with the Xbox. Back to the topic at hand, the rumor about sixaxis seems to be a bad mistake made by some foolish journalist who somehow managed to misinterpret "emotion engine" as "motion sensing", or at least that's what I read last night. Besides, I doubt there is hardly anything to be saved in terms of manufacturing costs by removing it at this point. This never hit me before but Sony was working on a emulator for Playstation to allow people to download PS1 games off of PSN....so if what I am thinking is correct, by the March update, the games available to download of PSN for the PSP would be playable on the PS3. Europeans get that out of the box. I don't see how it wouldn't work....it is going to emulate the software and we already know Sony is going to implement that. It (software emulation) reduces manufacturing costs for Sony for the time being which will reflect later on with a price drop. They are already losing up to $250 dollars on every PS3 sold which is why we won't see a price drop anytime soon and normally price drops don't happen this soon anyway. Sony said in an interview that including the chip with the PS3 costs more compared to using software.....and software is cheaper than hardware...although what they save isn't much ($50.) They still lose $200, these are not exact figures, something I read on a different site, can't remember which one. Every company does it though, they try to reduce manufacturing costs as soon as they can so they can see some profit....and it shouldn't surprise anyone that Sony is a company that is in it for money. We will see a price drop....sooner if Microsoft does it with the 360 (probably won't be at the same time though) but I don't think Microsoft has any plans to do it right now because of Halo 3. That game will sell units so it doesn't make sense for them to do a price drop. Sony answers Backwards compatibility questions.
